by bubli madan on Feb 24, 2008 06:06 PM

I think, Buckner has grown old enogh to retire-in both ways, age wise and accuracy wise.
last month we saw some surprizing and unfortunate decisions against india in SCG, may ICC relalize this and give chance to better umpires for welfare of International cricket

This is the state of ICC now. Either they have no new good Umpires or some of the boses there are junk lovers. Dont understand why Bucknor is brought back now.
It is going to expose him further. If he is genunly incompitent, he will make another dozens of wrong decisions. If he does'nt do as amny mistakes as he made in Sydney, he was either Biased against Indians or He was fixed by Aussies. For hevens sake keep this Vanker out.

He is biased against Indians. I don't think he favors Aus.

Yeah you are right friend. You have hit the nail right on its head when you say his incompetency will be highlighted all the more when he blunders on. And if he doesn't it would mean he was bought over by Cricket Australia - CA! Either way he would be the looser. Better he settles down on the Caribbean coast with his near and dear ones counting all that money he has hard earned!

It is BCCI's fault in the first place to have accepted him for the Ind-Aus test series. Knowing the track record of Bucknor, BCCI should not have opted for him. In future BCCI should be more proactive like their counterparts in Pakistan and Sri Lanka in order to avoid him standing for matches played by India. We poor cricket lovers should not waste our energy in these emotional things.
Coming to the catching agreement, it is Kumble's fault, Aussies used it for their advantage. Our people lack proactiveness.

As ICC is going it looks young Bucknor will go till 91 Umpiring. ICC is running either a ZOO or a Circus.

If they dont give young umpires a chance and the money ofcourse, how in the world are they going to get good umpires.
Its a tough job and umpires are always under the scanner. Yeah! those Shastris and Gavaskars.

He is a stupi person
For the sake of his prestige and the dignity that he has earned until now he should retire or loose all.
