Are Bhaiyya - these are league matches. Whenever they will play for IPL league this would be the team (Same as FIFA). At the time of World Cup, these teams would have no meaning, each and every player will represent his own country and play for it.

This fellow seems to have some strange problem. The caps lock key on his keyboard must be stuck. Someone repair his keyboard, and see if it is also possible to stop his cribbing..

And what you have done so far for cricket. You watch cricket on TV since it is aired free of cost. If at all you ever visited any ground to view cricket, I am sure, you must have got some complimentary pass. If tomorrow, TV channels start charging, you will simply switch on to AIR commentary rather than paying something and enjoying the cricket. So much love for cricket!

First, try to understand what IPL is all about and how it benefits cricketers, especially the local lads, and cricket in general. Without understanding just start barking!

Murali is good for taking wickets against bangladesh & Zimbabwe & England. He is no good against teams like India & Australia. Warne & kumble are far better

IPL is boon or bane?
by dravid on Feb 21, 2008 04:03 PM  | Hide replies

It looks it will address the symptom rather than disease. If you go by the bidding it defies logic when someone like Ishant Sharma and Manoj Tiwary who are yet to prove in international arena is given outrageous amount. It will be a boon for these guys but at the end all the guys who run the show with exception of Shahrukh Khan are industrialists so brace up as consumers to see hike in already sky rocketing cost of living. GOVT of India should step and put some sense to this senseless thing

How it is going to affect common man. Because of high bidding, cost of rice or aatta is not going to increase. If at all something will be increased that would be the entry fee to the stadium. Those who love cricket will pay that. 99% of the public will watch it on TV at free of cost. the lucky ones who get complimentary pass will also go to stadium. The main revenue will come from the advertisers/sponsors who will keep the game alive. These advertisers and sponsors will give returns to the bidders - not the general public in any way.

where do you think advertisers will get their money? It will be reflected on price of goods which the public will have pay.

I dont see much of talent in this youngster and it was more outrageous that he is billed above the likes of Ponting, Hayden and even our own Laxman in IPL bidding yesterday

I an glad Ponting and hayden were brought to the ground. They thought no end of themselves and created all the problems for the INdian team. The irony is the tool they used got 1 million more than what they were going for. Hopefully there is rift bet the trouble making trio or 4some.
