The real reason for Aus not visiting Pak is not terrorism or bomb blasts...
by Vikas Bhatt on Feb 18, 2008 03:41 PM

...it is just an excuse. An excuse Ricky Ponting and his men will use for not playing in Pak so that they can play in IPL in India and rake in the Moolah in that time period. It makes pure business sense. Politics is just an excuse.

Serves the Pakis right!
by angshu jajodia on Feb 18, 2008 03:08 PM  | Hide replies

I am not a fundamentalist and I do not like to criticize any country for whatever policies it may follow. But the policy of terror being followed by Pakistan for the last decade has struck back on their faces like the Frankenstein monster. Indeed the most suitable sobriquet for Pakistan is "the most dangerous place on earth" and no sane tourist wants to tour Pakistan these days. On a lighter vein I might add that Pakistan is the best country for 'journalistic tourism' - any reporter is sure to come back with some meaty news rather than come back empty-handed. I'll remember Daniel Pearl in this regard. What I feel is that no country should tour Pakistan and a mandatory embargo be imposed on the land of danger by the UN. Musharraf is heading towards doom, and with him Pakistan too. The Pakis are digging their own graves at their own peril. Serves the Pakis right! The Muslim fundamentalists created Pakistan in 1947 with a single-point agenda: just to show thumbs down to India. It serves them right what they are getting now.

My dear visitors to RediffNews, I have written quite a long post on this issue, and I would like to hear your comments/replies on this contentious issue. Waiting to see the replies.

I differ. The people of Pakistan, for that matter any country, do not deserve the inhumane treatment and environment they currently live in. You might have enlisted certain facts that are true however the people are not at fault for the doings of some fundamentalists although they might seem to represent the general population of Pakistan. Talk to some sane Paki people and you'll know.

your comment regarding journalistic Tourism for terrorists is fandu. It looks whatever money pakis earn (thru whatever way), spends on some kind of terrorism only. Earlier it was against india now its against themselves.I really endorse what you have written,no country should visit pakistan insteat they should be banned for taking part in leading tournaments like world cup(what happened to their coach bob woolmer, even today nobody knows)ur efforts for having written such a long mail r highly appreciated ! n it speaks sense too ! .... i belv nations like pak, afgnstan etc r mere puppets in the hands of the US .... they r just scapegoats ! .... u see, "earth is round, wt goes around, comes around" .... so let them taste their own medicine now.... "dogs bark but elephants move on" .... n likewise india has moved on with its tech n economic reforms but pak is still wasting time barking at india ! .... good for them !

abe kitna haraoge yaar india ko. Lagta hai ab to india ke haarne par bhi public enjoy karne lagi hai. Kyonki jeet kabhi kabhi milti hai to hazam bhi nahi hoti.
