RE:Tendulkar concentrating on height

As long as he have 80 International centuries, it doesn't matter what his height is, lol.
Seniormost in Team INDIA and also an ambassador of the game, A man who does not get into any controversy, Humble in every way, walks with his head high on the ground, first one to offer his expertise to any new comer in the indian side,Respected by every great cricketer or a new comer, Loved by the cricket fans all around the world,a true GLADIATOR when he walks out all padded up and helmetted and takes on the fiercest bowlers known in modern day cricket, whacks them all over the ground with pure disdain! PRIDE OF INDIA ! But, alas we have a few illiterate & ignorant morons in our very own country who speak ill of him in these discussion board! I really wish Sachin Tendulkar would never ever read these columns even by accident, coz am sure it would leave him saddened! Sachin, May you live long & play for the country, till the day you yourself decide to call it a day! You are and will always be the BEST!
'Not dropped because of form 2/15/2008 11:09:55 PM
A disappointed Sourav Ganguly speaks exclusively to TIMES NOW Editor-In-Chief Arnab Goswami on his ODI omission, says it wasn't because of his batting.
Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has had a dream comeback to internatioanl cricket but just when he was in top form, Ganguly was dropped from the ODI squad. Sourav Ganguly opens his heart out to TIMES NOW Editor-In-Chief Arnab Goswami, on his disappointment at being left out from the ODIs.
Arnab: Why aren't you playing against Australia? Sourav: I think, the selectors will have a better idea. But all I can say, it's not on the basis of form, which is in my control. I can only get the runs, the rest is not in my hands.
Arnab: What was your reaction when you heard you were dropped? Sourav: I was a bit surprised because I didn't expect it. As in both forms of the game whether it be in Test or One-day, I scored nearly 2500 runs in one year. I was a bit surprised but that's the way it is.
Arnab: What did you tell them? Sourav: They just asked me whether I wanted to continue playing One-day cricket. I said, 'Yes, at least for the next 7-8 months'. Since there's not much of One-day cricket in this year, and the rest of the year is full of Test cricket. So I wanted to play till September (2008), and then take a call because at some stage, we wouldn't have gone on to play the 2011 World Cup.

Sachin Tendulkar's [Images] wonderful run in the 2007-08 ODI season continues. As the Commonwealth Bank Series gets underway, he is comfortably ahead of Yuvraj Singh [Images]. In fact if Yuvraj's woeful form continues he will soon lose even his second place to Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images].
Recall that players get the most batting points if they score a lot of runs - and score them quickly; the most bowling points if they take a lot of wickets - and bowl economically; and the most fielding points if they take a lot of catches or participate in the largest number of run outs. The player with the largest total of batting, bowling and fielding points is called the "most valuable (ODI) player".
This scheme usually favours all-rounders; also the more matches you play, the more points you can amass. But our experience suggests that it spots the most valuable players rather well; players with the best ranks usually go on to win the most 'man of the match' or 'man of the series' awards.
