Dhoni is Great
by Indias View on Feb 15, 2008 12:25 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni has proved to the world, that he is a greatest batsman,wk and captain to the world and his Indian counterparts. He is the one who has the potential to replace Gilly in world Cricket and his knock of 88 against SL at the crucial situation has once again proved, that Yes he is the future Gilly..
It is better that Dhoni be made captain of Indian Test Team so that we can win consequetive test matches like Aussiess.
Next world cup is ours under Dhoni able leadership..
Long Live Dhoni.

Hellooooo,

All these days we saw ganguly fans screaming and now dhoni's........Firstly cricket is a team game, mind it........Then like the dhoni's innings you are talking about......even better innings are played by many cricketers including Sachin...That doesnt mean Sachin is the better captain. Even Gilly has proved as a cricketer but is a big failure as a captain, in whatever opportunities he has got. So dont mix everything and try and justify unreasonable things....Still dhoni needs time, so give him that time. Dont jump the trigger on him and burden him by giving all the responsibilities, in the process he may loose his way.

Its too early for Dhoni to be elevated. Let him prove his mettle for atleast 2 years or so after then they cud decide about the captaincy on tests.
He still needs to bring in more humility to the way he speaks and poses as a head of the Indian team.

by calisto fernandes on Feb 15, 2008 12:18 PM  | Hide replies

Dravid resigned as captain, indian team playing without a full time coach,John leaving.now king leaving for good .
This is the begining of the end of BCCI rogues. The sports ministry will take over the BCCI by passing a law in the parliment and save the Indians from the bootlickers.

If sports ministry is ever going to take over BCCI, Lalu Yadav is best candidate as coach/trainer/physiotherapist/President/ and all such posts... Leave it on him and he will make sure indian cricket touches new highs..

Ramya,

Pls....No ministry can make or break a game. It is in the hands of the people. Cricket is equivalent or bigger than a religion in India, so it is what it is today. But other sports are not followed by the same people in the same manner. I agree to an extent the govt is to be blamed, but dont put the entire blame on it. We know Sania mirza better than the game she plays i,e. Tennis. So the people are following her than seeing the game. Even if some of them know Tennise, its coz of her and hesh and paes...So in each game, the players, people and the govt are responsible for its future.......

something to do with irresponsible players

They so called young brigade must be responsible for good talented support staff quitting. Dhoni and Yuvi are not showing any maturity and they seems to be arrogant.

True Rahul..... I agree with you. They feel as if they have the entire world in control of them after winning the T20 world cup, which is not good for professional cricketers like them. Someone should intervene and set right the things or else cricket will hit its all time low in India. Even sachin is not able to do anything, coz in the process he may loose his place too....

Something FISHY!!
by Sai Prakash on Feb 15, 2008 12:14 PM

Its funny that just when there are so many youngsters in Team, these Trainers are quitting.
I feel the inclusion of the SHOW OFF Yuvraj and that eternally injured Munaf has a role to play in these resignations.
I am sure these Trainers insisted that Patel and Singh were not fit BUT the Selectors still picked these two USELESS cricketers.

Shame on BCCI!!!!

Good decision, Adrian and John. Not worth being associated with the Dirty Indian Cricket Scene.

This is what happens when money goes in the head, you start loosing good people, earlier difficult to get coach and now trainer and physio is going. But still BCCI's money hunt will continue unless they become zimbambe or west indies

Isthe arrogancy of Dhobi,UV bothering them.
There was not much wrong in dropping Dada, Laxi,Rahul ect.. but the way they were treated was not good. Also look at the statement UV had made after that.. and his performance now...
