if a great batsman like sachin is there in the team then indianteam should include 1 wicketkeeper dhoni and 9 bowlers sachin is enough to make the reqd runs.

Can u tell me a single innings in which India were to chase a score to win and Sachin scored ! If u tell me one test innings of his, he wud deserve to be called a great for the country. Otherwise he is great for himself.

infact two centuries he played on the last day of the test match deserves a merit.
His first test hundred he saved the team from loosing against england.
the one at chennai against pakistan he scored a century and becoz of his backspasm he fell when india quite close to the target.he and mongia built a near match winning partnership that time. india lost to pakistan by lessthan 50 runs .may be in 1999.(just before Kolkatta asian test championship when shoaib akthar sent 2 yorkers to remove rahul and sachin of successive balls.in kolkatta test second innings he was runout due to an interruption by a pakistan player)

Mr Rajiv, you are absolutly right. Players like Sunil Gavaskar etc are called as great because they used to win the match for the country single handedly. whereas Sachin has never won a match for the country.

gavaskar won single handedly.this is the big joke of the year so far.gavaskar is most selfish cricketer in the world.(Infact all mumbai crickets r selfish).Indian cricket history suggests it.Sunil says one thing before ESPNSTAR SPORTS and does exactly the opposite before the various committees of ICC/BCCI.while being a member of ICC/BCCI he should do wat is useful for the indian cricket.but he never does it.after everything is over he criticises the same person whom he supports earlier.IF there is a team player in this country only few.kapil,vishy,jimmy and kirmani r among the front runners.they r the real players with unquestionable committment and integrity.they never plays for records.

is he really such a great player? he has laziness in taking singles and twos.Aussies wont give him halfvolleys so that he can hit 4/6s at will.then how he can score runs.he does not work the ball all around.rather he works his two balls elsewhere.(we all knew where itis)

First of all ,will he be selected to play.is he fit enough? or he is acting asif he is unfit to seek an excuse? lot of doubts regarding his committment to the game and also his credibility to play against quality bowling.big question mark.even dhoni is same.only dhoni is managing with his running between the wickets and Golf swings.
dont compare gilly with dhoni. dhoni is a bachha in world ckt. gilly shud be compared with ranks of dravid, ganguly, kumble who play with pride for their nation & not like sachin who always think of maintaining his records. i think gilly has won more matches for aus than sachin winning for ind. only diff btn gilly & sachin is gilly's score won matches for ind & sachin's score only attributed for his records. sachin has lot ot learn fm gilly. take for eg: if sachin is really a team man then he cud hav cum 4th donw in tri-seires & given chances to gambir & sehwag for opening the innings. but if he does so then he cud only get few overs to play & he cant record century which is also a distant matter nowadays. & one more thing sachin u might hav scored tons of runs for ind but u can never be a walker like gilly though stupid mumbaikars like shastri & gavaskar may laud that u hav a great sportsman spirit.

it would be foolish if gilly is compared with any of the wicket keepers.he gave a new definition of the role of wicket keepers to the world.not just keeping wickets and scoring once in 10 matches.keeping wickets and scoring once in almost 2-3 matches is wat gilly knew to do.he is close to 10000 ODI runs.still he is prepared to call it a day.is there any indian shown willingness to retire so gracefully?

it seems there was a clear cut instruction from that idiot veng to send sachin as an opener.if dhoni changes sachin's slot dhoni may loose captaincy.is there a need for sachin to open?Sehwag and gambhir shd open. rohit sharma/sachin should bat at 3 and 4 and the useless duo yuvi and dhoni and unlucky uthappa to follow.if sachin is a real team player and not the one who chases records he should bat at either 3 or 4 so that he can control the innings till the end of 50 overs.scoring 30s and getting out is no gud for the team

Praveen, i remember one instance when india were struggling to get into the final in a tournament held in sharjah and sachin played a brave knock (which i think) since during that match there was a sandstorm and everyone were sitting in the dressing room but sachin was standing with all his kits intact on the ground.

don't say 20..it's above 30..and you see aveg of lots of opening batsman is around 35...but sachin has a fair avg of 44 and so..he's scored 35,44 and 32 in this series and wait he will score more...

ganguly was the person who brought the passion of never die attitude among the indians. what was tendu's contribution as a captain?? Ganfu sacrifised his opening slot for sehwag at his good form. can tendu dare to do so??
No doubt Ausis will win the Sunday's match by a huge margin if Sachin plays. They will really smash team in pieces. It is better if Indian team finds some early excuses, say injury to some of player or pray to rain gods because ausis have regained their lost condidence

I wonder why fans or fanatics like you root for India even when they dont perform well. We are a better team on paper than on the field. We struggled chasing a paltry score of 159 against the Aussies. Accept it we are not the best may be not even second best.
