IPL news should appear in business news and not in sports news because it is no more a sport but a multi millian dollar business. BCCI will soon make it to fortune 500.
australian players now caring abt the money rather than their country pride...i wont b suprised if some austrlain players retire early and play the ipl..

i think the money gained in ipl shud be used properly by improving the infrastructure and building new stadiums ..likes of niranjan shah and rajeev shukla will try to loot some money..watch out
There was no excitment in ICL matches. no one was keen to watch the matches...there was no proper schedule..only matches were confined for Mohali people...wt about other main cities...It was a bitter taste for ICL organizers..and they are jealous of IPL gaining so much popularity with so much of money pumped in by the sponsors and buyers of team...

You forget one thing. ICL didnt get the backing of BCCI. They didnt get the regualar Indian grounds to conduct matches due to the interference of BCCI. BCCI is selfish and they have started IPL to finish the ICL. ICL was started by persons who wanted to do good for players and Indian cricket. Whereas IPL has been started by the selfish BCCI. See how BCCI has blocked the pension to Kapil Dev(one of the greatest cricketers of India) and other ex-players just bcoz they started the ICL for good reasons. You should think and see what is happening and then say. See the foreign players who have played in ICL are also been removed from their national teams bcoz ICL is not backed ICC and BCCI. See how selfish BCCI.

You are wrong in this. India had qualified for the Soccer World Cup in 1952,but could not participate b'coz of poor infrastructure at that time. So if our learders ruling the sports body understand the importance of infrastructure and pump money to develop the sports in INDIA then,yes it is not 1000 years as stated by you it will take next world cup to qualify.

you are correct aggi, football leagues should also start in India which should have foreign players playing with Indian players. to the same level of EPL and other European leagues..This would do good for Indian football and bring it to international. Also it would be a success bcoz this sport also has a great Indian following.
kapil dev please don't panic seeing the popularity of IPL. just try to take game to other state also instead of playing in mohali only. like if hyderabad and mumbai is playing you can arrange the game in hyderabad or mumbai so local crowd will definitely watch there team. and please don't restrict your telecast to zee only, give other company also a chance make it professional.
