Lee is much faster but Ishant isn't slow eiter. Ishant bowls consistently in mid 140s and I saw him bowl above 150 on a couple of occassions in the ongoing CB Series. But there is a long way to go before you can talk of him in the same vein as Lee. Sreesanth also bowls in mid 140s. With his impeccable seam position, Sreesanth will be a very difficult bowler to face in overcast conditions. I strongly feel that these two can form a world class hunting pair on over seas tours. Well, let us wait and watch.

it is not just speed but accuracy and speed both that matter. We need to see ishant for much more time before we can say he can beat lee.
I have watched Ishant and he is not that fast a bowler. His speed is totally hyped. He just bowls mid to late 130s. Nothing great - Ajit and Zaheer have done that before. The thing to see will be how he maintains this after some injury happens to him. He has hardly bowled even one season. Remember the same Aussies also hyped up Nehra and Balaji in last tour as also Pathan. Now where are they? Pathan has become totally ineffective in speed.

When did u see him last? Last year? Ishant has grown a lot during this Australia trip...try to see him now...!!! SSM
Aussies are trying to put pressure on ishanth by comparing him with Brett Lee. Indians have to be careful here and senior players should advise ishanth to take it match by match. Too much expectation from himself will lead to his doom. He should be told that he cant get 4 wickets everytime and should bowl according to his strengths and mathc situations.
