Yuvraj - Bradman
by Laxmi Kiran on Feb 10, 2008 08:21 AM

Recently i have not seen any comment from Yuvraj singh's father who went on to compare him above DON Bradman and there was a huge hype by media when he was balzing durin 20 - 20 ..Cricket is about consistency and no where we can compare Yuvi to be even comparable to Sachin and then think of DON

Not good enough
by MjCricket on Feb 10, 2008 05:13 AM  | Hide replies

Play two spinners or three, this indian ODI team is simply not good enough. Aus is way way better than Ind and SL. None of the teams will be able to win a single match. Players like Uthappa and Karthick don't belong here.

u have short memory dude!! uthappa played well in the recent odi series in india vs Aus and pak. He is gud player to have lower down the order to increase the run rate later in the innings and also he is a decent fielder

Hey Mj:
Are you in a hurry to redefine the meaning of "single match"?
Coz you have flopped in your astrologer's role pretty early.. . Just the fourth match of the series, and lo and behold! Australia lose.
That too an ignominous defeat where they couldn't even stand up for 45 overs...
So what do we expect from you next?.. :-)

11 crunies again on the ground
by A K on Feb 10, 2008 04:41 AM  | Hide replies

I don't why we are so much obsessed with cricket and yet we are no champions. We are neglecting other major sports like soccer. It is a shame we such a big population unable to hatch more than 1 or 2 gold medals in Olympics. Wake up India and forget about these 11 fools

Preparation for WC?
by True Indian on Feb 10, 2008 12:32 AM  | Hide replies

WC finished in 2007. We got ourselves out in 1st round. BCCI is now claiming to make up team for next WC thats almost after 3 yrs. Its a ridiculous theory of experimenting with 'youth' team for just one tournament after 3 yrs. And who knows you lose one match at wrong time and quit.
Going by records, Ganguly should be playing. he is in good nick. Dravid may be out of form but should be allowed to prove his form and come back. By giving too much preference to youth and future, BCCI is doing a mistake.

Forget Dravid and ganguli. They have ceased to be the silver bullets long time back. Time to train youngsters when you have so many of them in the country. You are talking as if We were always winning with dravid and Ganguli.

Just wait and see how these 'youngs' get thrashed!!!! One thing more - Ganguly's recent record is incomparably better than most of these youths. Do we need good players, or young players?

We have seen enough of our senior heroes getting thrashed. So what is wrong with youngsters getting thrashed?

the major problem with oldies like ganguly and dravid was there were no longer agile(1 wonders if they ever were) and they scored most of the runs thru boundries. plus they could not throw hard from deep.. scoring thru boudries will not be easy in big grounds of australia. they will not be able to throw hard from deep and save runs in the circle.. they will not be able to take a lot of singles against the two better fielding sides.. so youngsters would be a better choice in the VB series

You are so right. Lot of experts have said the same thing. But some of the people in the forum refuse to understand this and let emotions get the better of them.
