Role of IPL
by Vaish vinjam on Feb 07, 2008 07:38 PM  | Hide replies

IPL should have taken measures to improve the domestic cricketers alot so that we can get at least 2 strong teams in the national level and prepare for the international team. Why paying so money to other countrys players. Bring competion among our players and geet the best to compete.

The sole role of IPL is to kill ICL. They care less about Indian local cricket. They are more concern about maintaining their monopoly. I personally atleast care less about IPL and I am all support for ICL. I even subscribed Zee Sport to support ICL..

IPL should welcome Gilchrist with open arms - after all he is one of the few gentlemen on the Aussie side.
Rogues like Ponting, Hayden, Clarke, Symonds etc. should be served a lifetime ban from IPL.

The real motive to retire
by on Feb 07, 2008 02:09 PM

The real Motive behind Gilchrist's resignation is dat he ws contacted by IPL to play in their league matches. He cant play in IPL matches if he continues to be in d Australian side.
