Rohit Sharma fined for dissent
by on Feb 10, 2008 02:02 AM  | Hide replies

i am of the opinian that about this matter if any player did any types mistake so ICC take some dicesion against player but umpire give wrong dicesion so why icc do not take any type of dicesion against umpire.according to icc should be make some rule against umpire if he give any wrong dicesion than also do fine it should be compulsary like a player while game result would change by his one wrong dicesion.

No. This is Spanish language.
Not "a" Spanish language.
You are really funny as pointed out by Yash.

Trying to find faults just with someone's words though you have clearly grasped his intent.
Yet in your fault finding exercise, you make a blunder.. :-)

Cheers.

Who is the opponent? Are the above people tennis players, to be selected against Hewitt?
It's a 11 member cricket squad. So maybe none of the above?

Yes .. Indian players just don't get it that they are not Ponting or Clarke.
You need to first migrate to Australia, then get their citizenship, then get selected in their national team, and THEN you can start doing whatever (showing dissent?.. such a pathetic small frivolous feat?)..
Yup. they are so stupid.

Mate, theres only one Indian that Oz would take and thats Sharma. Singhs o.k. Sreesanth is too much trouble (and has injury problems). The rest are struggling to be handy.
Sharma may be Indias best bowler now, but keep his head on straight and he'll be the best in the world in 2 years. He's potentially that good.

I do not see anything special in Sharma to be best in the world. I see no potential even. At times he is worest than a school boy bowling in the nets. We need to be serious when we assess the overall talent and consistancy.RP by far impressed everybody along with Pathan. Therefore, I do not agree at least with the present showing that he will become world class or best in the world.

Well John:
Doogie is talking about Ishant Sharma, not Rohit Sharma..
And by the way, both of you can decide whom do you like or dislike, but its not gonna change whether he is (or someone else is) India's great bowler.
For all I might think about the shortcomings of Clarke (and his bat goes high here, tilts there, he opens the face wrong, his feet don't move, his hairstyle is crap.. etc.) he does score runs, and even if I label him an absolute washout, he will be what he will be.
So chill out.

If thats what you think then fantastic. Hopefully the Indian selectors will think the same and leave him at home on future tours of Oz.

As a devout Aussie, you are certainly entitled to pray for Sharma (Ishant) being kept out of this Indian side.. :-)
No wonder you are praising John.

Jekyll & Hyde : Aussies
by Sunil Dharam on Feb 07, 2008 11:18 AM

Aussies are very fair and very professional & follow the rules to the 'T' when it comes to judging an opposition for decent and reprimanding him, only when it comes to judging their own players, the rule book goes for a toss & a cheat in them comes out, Jekyll & Hyde dual personality.

Why fine Rohit when he wasn't wrong in showing disbelief???
by on Feb 07, 2008 06:30 AM  | Hide replies

Since recently India appealed strongly against Bhajji and the RACISM issue, and WON that APPEAL!! I think ICC has decided that they won't let India out easily. Even if India is already on the receiving END (not to mention thats more than often anyway) of bad umpiring. Koetzen is another exampel of an Umpire losing his decision making skills and judgemental senses with age, but then again if INDIA now was to raise their voice yet again, the whole of th world and even half the INDIANS will start criticising INDIA of flexing their FINANCIAL MUSCLE. This is so pathetic, being an indian living in Australia, my blood boild wheneevr India is put through the sword. YET Andy Symonds, Matty Hayden, Michael CLARKE, and Ponting all get away for doing all these things time and again!!!! WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?????????? What is the world doing now???? COWARDS thats all you people are....RAMA kya Ghor Kalyug hai!! "Hans chuge Dana-tinka, Kauwa Moti khaaye".

Hey Mr. On:
Calm down sir..
Whilst you have the right to be indignant, it's not in our nature of criticizing umpiring, however pathetic it may turn out to be.
Well not always.. For instance, we didn't complain against the third umpire in Sydney test, did we?
And so we shall not against Crowe, though he has had the benefit of the replays, yet chooses to fine Rohit.
So as I said, we shall not complain. In face, Indians should set an example of "walking" in the next match against Australia. And how? "Walk" after hitting a four. That's how.
Then let us enjoy the spectacle these excellent umpires will have to exhibit - that of "informing" the scorers how to record the "dismissal" of the said batsman..
:-)
And THEN let's watch.. :-)
