so i feel i can write on rediff sport btw rediff is junk i love oz u desis shud get under the umbrella otherwise one of ur fellow desis wud come and spit at u, one of the things apart from many poor things, indians are world champs in is spitting esp in public u desis keep dreaming ind can never be no 1 coz indians are born loosers, 20 olympic medals in history for a nation of 1.2 billion and 5 of those medals came from the brits before 47 ha ha u born loosers ind is a drain-h-o-le that wud be bombed by the west v soon ha ha oz r true world champs, they wud be back in town i am not coming back ever to read anything on this discussion.i have not read any posts.

Actually Cronje's team was far better than this, that time World criket was littile more difficult,,India, Ausis,Pak was far better than current team but SA was number one team in ODI..in test they were in second spot..nowdays there is no quality bowlers, batsmans also very less (in world cricket..) Cronje's team ODI team almost same as pushkas hungary team..

1,2 billion people and have historically lost 38 more test matches than won in their only sport, cricket which is played by 10 nations inc ind(all these nations bar oz and eng are a sporting joke) then nothing of note in other sports vishwanathan anand in chess- ha ha, chess is a board game, not a sport paes,bhupathi in doubles-ha ha they are both born loosers, doubles is useless, only singles matters and mahesh has never been in top 200, paes never have been in top 50 ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha forget about 10, no indian has ever been globally popular nothing in motorsport, golf, athletics, swimming, rugby, football and on and on and on and on i am not coming back ever to read anything on this discussion.i have not read any posts.

What is your problem? If you have any problem then don't watch any sport that India is involved in. In stead of criticizing the existing sportsmen, why don't you ask yourself this question - have you ever held a cricket bat or a tennis racquet? It is people like you ... born losers ... that make these stupid comments.
Here i would not say that this smith's team is bad, but the level of competativeness on other teams is less this time that earlier and players that are not that exp in most of the team.. Aus main 4 players lost just now but South Africa is playing with this team for a quite while now... there are many more reasons... like some new players performing for SA but the same happening for AUS
India has to tour SA for ODI's and Tests to prove that we are the No.1 team in this world. SA might be better than Aus but India is better than SA. Team India is No.1 now.
Aussies lost many match winners. They lost their invincibility. During Steve waugh period any other team will lose the match in the 3rd day itself. Now Aussies have been reduced to an ordinary side. So the other teams can now beat them. It is more to Aussies downfall then SA or India's rise. Definity Cronje's team is the best team for SA. Aussies may re-group to begin winning ways but it will be very difficult for them to touch the greatness of Steve Waugh era.

Get your facts right!!! Dont get carried away without fully analysing the facts. I have not told any excuse there. SA deserves to win but that does not make them gr8. Cronje's team is the best SA team. Now it is relatively easy for other teams to match Aussies. Didnt Aussies lose thier match winners(McGrath, Warne, Steve Waugh, Gilchrist, Gillespie, Macgill, etc). I didnt see any big deal in beating this weak Aussie team(although I liked Aussies getting beaten). If other teams want to claim as World beaters they will have do it consistently in all conditions like what Aussies did during Steve Waugh era. It is more of Aussies downfall that helped SA, India to beat them rather than greatness from these team
Cronje's team performed well in both ODI and Test. Smith's team performance in ODI is not as good as was Cronje's team. They recently white washed by Eng in ODI. They are winning test series but losing at least one test in each series like against Pak, Ind, Eng etc. They won 2 series against Bangladesh and one against WI this year. They failed to win series in India this year. Smith's team is not as aggressive as Cronje's team. They are far behind in sledging. Cronje's team had lots of allrounders like Simcox, Macmillan, Klusner, Kallis etc.

Smith's team is definitely better. They have won 11 tests out of 15 in 2008; have been unbeaten for 10 succesive series; have defeated Australia in their own backyard; have beaten Pakistan in Pakistan ; and have, most importantly , got rid of the choker's tag. Also, don't forget that Cronje and a few of his teammates were involved in the match-fixing scandals that rocked cricket.

Beating aus in aus is a humungous effort. Smith's team didnt beat India in India which Cronje's team did.
And India in India is much tougher in the sense that the cricket is complletely different for aussies,africans and english whoes styles suit to their fast pitchs. So for them all, it should be a greater effort to beat India in India then any of those countries.
I think Cronje's team scores that heavyly now that I think of it. So I agree with you Anurag.
For that you need variety apart from brut force of pace. Which the current SA team lack. No spinner worht mentioning i mean.
With Due respect Smith and men on the on-going recent sucess in Australia, Hansie Cronjes team was far more superier that this current side of S.A, barring Kallis there is no genuine allrounder in the side... as compared to julu, Mcmillan, pollock, boje.. styen is good however De villers, Donold where far better... in batting to the current team is far less experienced that the liky of roads, cillinan... no way anyone can compare both the sides.....
Also this Australian team is merely a shadow of it's past decade... nothing solid all are out of form and injured!! Mr. Smith India ko India main beat karo tab aap ko mainege aap toh anpe ghar mein hi humse Ek test haar gaye the!!

Thats what am saying too...
This aus side is nothing much more so cos of the injury list and form slumps...i can understand one form slump at a time for any team. But they are all down. Though am glad they are beaten good. They have harrased SA for a good part and this victory makes up for 3 of those.
