pujara played a gr8 inning once again, on the last day's pitch against his hero dravid's team, to steer his side to semis, by scoring unbeaten hundred.
even last year, pujara played amazing inning saving his team out of certain defeat against delhi when he batted out the whole of last day.
pujara is the real hero and ravindra jadeja the unsung hero of saurashtra team. even last year, they had been to the semis of ranji trophy n winner of the ranji oneday trophy. not by flukes at all. this shows the spirit of the team.
its high time, pujara comes in the ind team who has hunger for big scores n good temparement for long innings.
Inspite of a weird technique and a low batting position, it is very commendable that Dhoni has retained his top spot in ICC rankings for so long. It really shows his determination and application. He has undertaken the role of a finisher so well that we have almost forgotten India s choking attitude in crucial games and in crucial situations. Well of course the Dhoni haters would always attribute it to luck. But I do believe he is among the few players in the Indian team who hold the team above their own personal records. But I did wish he had made more of an effort in winning the 2nd test against England.

To hell with Dhoni..He has an awful Test record..Can you list Dhonis average in Australia in TESTS..Dhoni has no technique and is only good slogger..and overall he is a lucky bast%%ard

I agree that on this position maintain top rating is commendable and no doubt he has done finisher's role very well...but if you see the flip side then its also a fact that this position gives you the time and clear picture that what type of game you need to play i.e. hitting four-six or going out with singles. While if you are opening up inning then no option and you need to go for aggressive cricket only i.e. four-six. Also so far it has been rarely that all top players have failed to score and Dhoni had won the battle alone (which happened few years back mostly)....so far 50 or 75% work is done by top order and rest he has done very well.
I no need to criticise him...he has proven so far very well....but just tellng you other side so that baseless comparision of Dhoni or Sachin, Ganguly etc. should not take place on this topic.
funny ...most genuinly succesful indian cricketers have letter "s" as one of the initials in their names: sunny, sachin, sourav, mahendra singh dhoni,sehwag, yuvraj singh, harbhajan singh, vvs laxman, ishant sharma, srinath, syed kirmani....etc...only exceptions kapil dev, rahul dravid, anil kumble...
