CA to engage Greg Chappell on regular basis
by aficionado on Dec 24, 2008 12:54 PM  | Hide replies

Australia is a declining team under Tim Nielsen. Some one came up with a brilliant idea to engage Greg Chappell as Assistant Coach for India tour and the world knows what befell the Australian team in India - first ever defeat in a series in which Aus failed to score a single win (margin of 2-0 for India in 4 test series).

Greg ducked narrowly, what could have been a potentially fiery test for his coaching attitude, more than coaching abilities. He was not coach of Indian team when India visited Australia in early 2008.

If CA wants to accelerate the decline of Team Australia, they should engage Greg on a full time basis as Asst. Coach.

I am looking forward to SA winning the ongoing test series 3-0 and then India winning all their tests against NZ next year to reduce the gap in the ICC rating points amongst these top three teams of the world.

aficio... is that your crap name, dumbo?

Aussies gave India a 0-2 margin of victory, considering the fact that they were brave enough to play the last test for a victory instead of a TAME DRAW like the one against England in Mohali.

Take all test matches played by Aussies and you will find NONE that they have played for a draw, unlike other teams which have SO CALLED brave captains who deliberately move backward to SUSTAIN their margin of victory and not give the opponents any charge.

It is imperative that AUSSIES are the only team (and perhaps slightly NZ) that play all test matches with an intent of winning and NOT DRAWING.

Thats why they are world champions..always positive and thinkful about your their decisions for their game instead of any emotions because from emotions you cant bring winning habits. although australians are losing but they were the best and they will be the best because winning and losing is the part of the time...but they are still world champions and they will be..

Aussies performance is decreasing continuously. Biggest change we can see in Aussies approach. They are looking so defensive nowadays.

It wasn't bcoz of Buchanan, but they had the best players in the likes of Waugh brothers, Gilly, Martin, Warnie, Mcgrath, n Gillespie, they were the world beaters in all forms of the game. If I have the SERVICE of these quality men, even I can be a great coach, without doubt.....
