Negative tactics..........
by Anurag Rathore on Dec 22, 2008 02:19 PM

7-2, 8-1 field combination is really working for England till now. Dhoni successfully used it against Aussies.

prior gaya
by Faltu on Dec 22, 2008 11:16 AM

Harbhajan Singh to Prior, OUT, gone! early strike for India, Prior is caught down the leg side off one than spins...he tries to glance it around the corner, but gets a thin edge to Dhoni. Batsmen often think that it's a strangle, but the bowler will happily take it

And then this England team would have to return without a win.
I think No.3 position is so important in Test. Ian Bell failed in all his innings here. A poor opening could suffer further if No.3 too return quickly.

Their opening pair is also not working. They are not giving good start to them.

Anurag,

Graeme Smith & De villiers as predicted by you played vital innings to chase down the target against Aussies.
Good. Why you considered De villiers too will be the key to chase it?
Did he recently produced any such good innings under pressure?

I feel they should also include B.Dipenaar and A.Nel. Quota system is hurting them.

I have seen him so many times. His batting approach is very positive like Sehwag. He plays his natural game in any circumstances.

teend is changing..........

gone are the days when openers job was to see off the new ball..........

now openers start hitting in tests when ball is new and hard and it comes nicely on the bat......

DRAVID?
by rakesh on Dec 22, 2008 11:10 AM

I think believing in people is the most important strength of Dhoni. Dravids century is becasue of the confidence of Dhoni in him which makes a person more responsible.

I see when India is winning Dhoni's contribution from mind is much more than from bat and gloves.Isn't IT??

South Africa did what India could not do on Aussies soil
by Jatin Desai on Dec 22, 2008 11:10 AM  | Hide replies

Smith is real leader ... He decelared at the start of series that this is best chance to win on Aus soil.. And he did it.

Despite trailing in first inning ... he kept on pursuing the goal of winning .. their bowling is strenght .. & they rattled Aus in second inning then he lead from front in batting..

When we will have such team effort... on Foreign soil

Aussies are doing mistakes on mistakes. They are not giving chances to S.Marsh, S.tait, Casson etc.

Pointing will lose the captaincy.. Their next in waiting M clarke will wait forever...

They will appoint M Hussy as captain... They will need fresh approach to build side . Hussy is considered as Mr. Cricket

Aussies should give chance to S.Marsh in place of Hayden, S.Tait in place of Lee and Casson in place of Kreza.

S.Bond was best, because his action was clean. S.Akhtar and Lee's action were in doubt.
