He is such a combination of power, precision, artistry, daring, audacity, coolness, aggressiveness that it is unique. I cant stop watching his replays again & again. His positive frame of mind & clear focus on the task at hand is also amazing. To score triple centuries requires tremendous focus. Once his eye is set he is a nightmare for all bowlers without bothering about there reputations. His talent is amazing. He was the only batsman to score 2 centurires in New Zealand on a minefielf where the ball would end in the 1st slip after pitching on the leg, in spite of the presence of several stalwarts in the team. What to talk of technique? If u cant score runs technique is useless.
And how quickly he mastered Mendis, scoring an unbeaten 201 n.o. Who else was able to decipher the Mendis Mystery?
It clearly shows amazing talent & confidence. Batting is not just about technical skills but also about your mental make up. He outshines many other luminaries because of his mental approach.
I have not seen or heard about any other public personality who is so positive & straightforward with a winning attitude(even outside the cricketing field).
And the man's daring is amazing. The only man to score a triple century at more than a 100 strike rate. The only man to bring up his 100 & 300 with sixes. The only man to reach maxm no of his centuries with sixes.
His undisturbed focus on the bowler & the ball is so complete, that he hits even wicket taking balls for boundaries.

Viv Richards was quite dominant in his hey days but he never scored big centuries.

India will win
by Veer Sandy on Dec 17, 2008 03:23 PM

Remember what India did to Australia just a few weeks back at Mohali..
Definitely England have their task cut out at Mohali. The even Bounce and the faster pitch will suit Indians also and with the better bounce Harbhajan can do a lot of Damage..
With the right mindset, in form players and the right Captain India can look to close the serties 2-0.
All the Best.

it was veeru only who cud fill the ray of hope in ind batting line up to chase such a big score. by scoring 83 of 60 balls itself, he set the stage for others to bat on
n ind is although known for slow scoring in the last inning espectially while chasing (ind has scored just 180 runs last year on the fifth day while 'so-called' chasing) has just 250 to chase. had that been 300 plus, ind batsman wudnt hv dreamt of chasing at all.
so hats off to veeru.

Veeru; You are on the way to become World's best

Though there were many great players in team all these years(starting from Azhar,Sachin,Saurav, Dravid, Laxman); Sehwag is the man who really made such a huge difference..I have never ever seen any individual making such a huge impact on any game- his 2 hours of batsmanship changed the course of the match~He was MOM in last 2 ODIs also; he scored too many runs in last many ODIS(4 50s out of last 5) . Iam surprised to recollect the fact that this little genius was not even included in the TOP 30 TEST probables last year)- He is the No 1 batsman now and as he said in an interview yesterday, he is playing exactly the same way he playes before he was thrown out.!!

Infact , now he has changed in bit in terms of stroke playing , earlier when he broke inot the international scenes one used to see a lot of punches and striaght drives .Exact replica of Sachin Tendulkar
