Sachin critics are a bunch of jokers.This is what i remember of sachin. He played his first match at age 16. He was hit on the face in his first match by a waqar younis delivery and bleeding profusely but he hit the next ball for 4. On the same tour he scored 27 runs in an over of Abdul qadir. Scored a century against england at age 17 and saved the game for India. Scored 100 at perth at age of 18. His 52 in the 92 world cup won helped us win against pakistan.. Butchered Newzealand with 82 of 49 balls.India won the game. Scored first one day 100 against Australia in 1994 in srilanks.India won Single handedly took India to semifinals of 1996 world cup. Scored 2 hundreds against Australia in India in 1998.India won the series 2-1. Scored two back to back centuries in sharjah against Australia.India won the tournament. Played 99 world cup inspite of losing his father. Took India to brink of victory against pak in chennai scoring 136.Last 5 Indian wickets contributed only 15 and India lost. Took India to final of Natwest trophy in England with centuries against England and Srilanka. Single handedly took India to finals of 2003 world cup.Bowlers gave away 358 runs in final which we lost. Contributed significantly in Indias wins against Australia and Pak in 2003/2004. Scored 117 and 92 in finals of one day series in Australia.India won His 73 in first innings at perth won the game for india. Scored 103 against england chasing 387.India won.

Well done mate! There is absolutely no doubt to anybody who understands cricket, the genius of Sachin.It really does not require the great maratha to highlight his achievements. He has done so over 19 long years and still does. What you have missed is the many many battles he has won for India in drawn and lost matches. The fact is one sachin is not sufficient to wim a match. There has to be other contributors to the win, like in this match it was sehwag, gambhir and yuvraj.I remember the time when the best team of ours had the likes of Mongia,SSDas,Dravid,Ganguly,Azhar,VVS and at times guys like Jadeja when sachin was in his prime between the years 1996-2002. I exactly know who performed to what extent in those matches, when our bowling was Srinath,Venkatesh prasad and Kumble.It is as clear as daylight who made us hold our heads high.in 1998 against Australia,the first tour match was against Mumbai, hwere sachin hit a 200 and mumbai thrashed the champion Australian side!That set the tone for the series.I would have thought if the Mumbai team played the three test matches, we probably would have won 3-0! Still, my friend, please remember Winston Churchill's comment that Statistics is the final resort of rouges and politicians!

He has run away from there.
Earlier even i used to get angry as to why some rediff bloggers insult an icon like Sachin...but now i don't get angry or play into their trap cos i realize they are doing it only for attention..
Maybe they are attention starved adults who do not have a wide friend circle or maybe their parents don't give them the importance they think they deserve..these are all conjectures...maybe they are losers in life or maybe they are shy and lonely and vent their spleen using the anonymity of the internet...
Whatever they are, the greatness of Sachin will never reduce...he is the greatest sporting icon of the century in India...his stature in India is like that of Maradona in Argentina or Pele in Brazil or Sampras and Michael Jordan in America.....but losers can't stomach that, so they vent their spleen....
One more observation that want to share with all is that many crib about Sachin not being great 2nd innings player...now tell me, he averages 36 in 4th innings...which is better than what Lara averages in 4th innings....how many times has Lara won it for WI in 4th innings except that 153 against aus??
Sachin has played some timely 2nd innings knocks that have helped India avoid defeat...don't always measure in terms of win....test cricket has a result called a "Draw" and cricket is played by 10 other gents....so get a life!!!!!
