Cricket is an entrtainment and should not be played when this kind of crisis situation. Most of the security gets diverted to cricket area and many general public are in danger moving around in any mall or public areas.
At this level of security, is there any point of playing at all. They might as well accompany the batsman to the crease and run along with the bowler along his run up. Such a large security contingent could be better used along the border or protecting common people. I understand that our lives must resume as normal and cricket could be a diversion but seriously with so many questions still pending about the Mumbai attacks, is use of such a large security force for cricket warranted? It has been always intriguing to me to see our prime minister and president arrive in bullet proof cars and stand behind bullet proof screens while extoling the country's freedom on Independence day. And how well do you expect cricketers to play anyway under such tight security? The english fielders will be half looking at the skies or stands for any potential attacks while playing.

Do we need leaders who have enough enemies that he/she needs to be followed by a battalion of people to cover them up every time. What kind of life is that ? worse than jail.
Sorry to say, there is a depression @ bay of bengal. Chances are that match might be abandoned. Importantly please protect our cricketing heroes in the Hotel apart from the stadium..
