You can't compare Pak with India
by Kishore Ivatury on Dec 10, 2008 05:41 AM

You cannot compare the security situation in pakisthan with India. There is no law and order in Pakistan. It's government is totally inept becasue everything is run by the army. On the other hand, there is much better security and accountability in India (may not as good as some other countries). Although there are security lapses, we are trying to fix them. That never happens in Pakisthan. That is the main reason why there are money making opportunities in India - and not in Pak. Anyway's, what is wrong with making money legally? It has nothing to do with greed or double standards. Which one would you prefer - make good money with decent security or crappy money with crappy security?

Latif Idiot Shutup
by Patriot on Dec 09, 2008 08:55 PM

Latif - By now the world knows very well that in Pakistan its state sponsored Terrorism. What this means literally is your government can give the keys to Ricky Pontings room and ask the the Terrorist to kidnap him ! Thats not the case in India. We have governments with lot of corruption but not state sponsored Terrorism. There is a difference you know...even if you offer to pay 10 times more than IPL or any other sponsor, lets see if teams visit your country. So please don't feel jealous about the progress of India and Indian Cricket. Your outburst shows clearly why your Government helped the Mumbai attackers...you guys must have requested them to somehow make India also feel your pain. We progressive INDIANS and the new generation will stand UNITED as a country and destroy all extrenal forces ! JAI HIND !

what latif think what he wants , i dont care, the only point he wabted to tell is double standards of australia. remember the aussies named india as thrid world country, here latif is not comapring pakistan with india but exposing aussies greed, like a saying when money talks bull shit stops.

Security and all these r nonnsense, what matters is money. and it was been cultivated by english divide and rule, so we instead of taking a point of aussies grred for money we r fighting for comaring india and pakistan who cares... grow up guys.

So why don't they offer a few millin more and see if Australia , England and South Africa visit them? Money definitely motives people but in this case they are afraid of the environment. The nexus between Pakistan Government and Terrorists is an open truth and these governments know that ! That's the reason they will send teams even if Latif sells his wife and offers an additional million to what IPL gives. He talks typically like a Pakistani - mindless, jealous fool ! Well the truth is their country has dug their own grave by sponsoring Terrorism !

Latif is correct
by Sanjay Ranawat on Dec 09, 2008 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

Rashid Latif has hit the nail on it head. The Aussies and Englishmen are adopting double standards when it comes to playing in Pakistan or Srilanka. Since India is a cricket mad country and money offered is huge and now this IPL has also happended, inspite of the heavy terrorist attacks in India, they are coming here and are ignoring Pakistan. This is simply not good. They are not secualr. But now India should prove their secular credentials by allowing their team to play in pakistan. We all look forward to the mother of all sporting spectalces - India Vs Pakistan series in January 2009. Let Secularism & Equality win and Racism & Hyprocritism lose! Indi-paki Bhai Bhai!

What a moronic reasoning. All 10 terrorists came via sea for 3 days with meticulous plan. It is very hard to be prepared for such an attack. Now that match is shifted towards an area far far from Pakistan border. Pakistan has terrorists every next door. Terrorism is child's play for them. You cannot equate this sad incident to the home grown terrorist acts in Pakistan. Remember it was ISI who created them. It was Pakistan who encouraged such terrorists since Pakistan stands no chance against India when they fight in a proper way. So such countries should be penalized

What has crickting skills got to do with his opinions? He may be a brilliant cricketer, but he is worng here. His logic is based on the premise that the security situation in Pakisthan and India are same, which is totally incorrect. We may have security lapses, but we have some degree of law and order; Pakisthan is lawless. In any case, historically, brilliant cricketers rarely make great thinkers outside the field.

got a point ?
by Jay on Dec 09, 2008 07:19 AM

I think Mr. Latif has a valid point but too bad for him, his country is on the good side with the terrorists. India had called for the Pakistanis to dismantle all the terrorist groups operating along the border with India and Afghanistan with force however nothing has be done EVER. Mr. Latif, I can understand your grief but too bad your country is a breeding ground for filthy radicals who wage bloodshed in the name of Islam. India is different and ALWAYS will be different.
