Even Munaf Patel belongs to Gujarat, but is playing for Mumbai. In good old days, Kiran More and Nayan Mongia (again from Baroda) represented India. An all rounder called Dhiraj Parsana from Saurashtra played a lone match for India, only to be dropped by the irrepressible Sunny, who takes the credit for dropping of many players like that during his days as captain - M V Narasimha Rao (Hyderabad), Yajuvendra Singh (Maharashtra), T E Srinivasan (TN) etc. You are true to the extent that one has not heard of any player from Gujarat representing India in tests or ODIs in the last three decades.    Forward   |   Report abuse
