IPL beckons English team and ECB to India
by hey hey on Dec 06, 2008 04:27 PM  | Hide replies

Well... Well.... a few days back i read news item that Andrew Flintoff, Steve Harmison, Graeme Swann and Henderson were reluctant to visit India due to the terrorist attacks and now all of a sudden, English team is visiting India full strength. What compelled them to visit India.. Is it to show solidarity with India or for the love of cricket or for regaining the lost pride after a sound thrashing of 5-0...... I doubt all of these....

These white coloured Englishmen are touring India because if they decline now they might not be considered for IPL and even if they are considered they might be butchered by media for adopting double standards... IPL means big bucks for them and not touring India now mean saying good bye to all those big bucks.... what is a wise decision.... Adopting the English thought process it would be Visit India under full security cover.... get thrashed by Dhoni & Co. and quickly return to England.... signing multi million dollars with IPL franchisee and get a hefty bank balance....

Such shameless people adopting double standards...

I doubt

It will be rain for 5 days and the players will be in either dressing room or even in thier respective hotel itself. There is a second cyclone warning in Chennai and the rain will be on and off for another 15 days for sure. By all means, KP had taken calculative risk to visit INDIA and not playing a cricket here. Poor BCCI will never learn from the past as it is rainy season in Chennai and they planned a test cricket out there.

Yes KP... You are right. You need to support a country that is effected by terrorism & not the one which generates terrorism. Great decision KP.... Hats off to ECB for your support.

Thanks to England and ECB
by sudhakar gaikwad on Dec 05, 2008 01:41 PM

ECB has decided to proceed despite of terror attack. We Indians need to appreciate England and Players for brave decision. The approach set by ECB is very good. They decided on the basis of standard of Indian Security (only at LOC and Sport Leverl) despite of Terrorist attack on Mumbai. Autralia should also come to India for their forthcoming tour (If they are not feared of probable defeat from India Team. We Indian fan should appreaciate ECB decision and we have to welcome the Team of England. But we Indians are happy if some players are not coming because everybody has personal life and at the end of the day everybody should be right to decide their decisions.

Moreover I would like to thanks Sir Ian Botham since he talked to BBC that ''Terrorism is not problem for India its actually problem for we all people, England should go there and help Indian Cricket''

Thanks to ECB and the England Team.
