Well when we all the seeing how Hyderabad was demolished..some id**iots like fff (infortunately some 'mumbai' jealous faceless f*ck*in f*arter like to ruffle up things) come up with unnecessary lists. Well if you wish to put up lists I have one. for India.. Best ODI Batsman - Sachin, Best Test Bastman - Sunny, Sachin and best bowler pacer/spinner, Kapil/Kumble...Thats it. Why shouldn't?? we need to look at records. By your so called self styled label of selfish even Bradman was selfish...Every player plays for records including the best.. One tries to keep up his performance in the organization even if the company is bankrupt..All this patriotism in sport is monkey business we have seen that all in the match fixing saga. When half of the team is fixing matches the only guys who tries to win is labelled selfish.
Batsmen: (Pls. note that, I have not considered Azhar, Jadeja & Prabhakar for their role in Match Fixing) Test: Sunny, Dravid, Sachin, Laxman & Vishwanath ODI: Sachin, Sourav, Sehwag, Yuvraj & Dravid Pacers: Test: Kapil, Srinath, Zaheer (It would be demeaning to club others with this group. Pls note that Ishant, Pathan & co. have their chance to surpass them) ODI: Kapil, Srinath, Zaheer, Agarkar & Roger Binny. Spinners: Test: Chandrasekhar, Kumble, Bedi, Subhash Gupte & S. Venkatraghavan ODI: Kumble, Harbhajan, Bedi, Shastri & Raju Fielders: (test & one-day combined) Solkar, Yuvraj, Pataudi, Robin Singh & Raina. All-rounders: (test & one-day combined) Kapil, Amarnath, Sachin, Sourav & Ravi Shastri Wicket-keepers: Test: Syed Kirmani ODI: Dhoni

Sir, I simply hate selfish-people. I know Azhar was involved in Match-fixing. But on field, he always looked like a Team-Man.

And Dravid? The most useless player ever. India failed to reach semi finals of even home series when he was leading, and almost ruined the careers of Zaheer and Pathan

Eknath Solkar perhaps was and is the best ever. Suresh Raina is better than Jadeja. Robin and Jadeja were above average and safe fielders. NOT great. Kaif and Yuvi were sensational in the early days. But no fielder has made so much of impact on Opposition Team's running between wickets as Raina has done over past 2 years.
