mahela's comments suggests some sort of frustration in his mind.saying we fought till the end,doesn't defy the concerns regarding their batting,especially top order.top order regularly collapsed against india and in CB series also,where australia really tightened the screws to their top order batting.it's lanka's bowling,winning them the matches.
Srilanka's batting against quality bowling on sporting tracks lacks skills,aggression,consistency!!!!!!!!!!!
:-) What type of comment is this ? Is Jayawardene referring to second test match where they got out for 135 odd runs while chasing last (was that something else no pressure !) OR 2nd/3rd/4th ODIs where 5/6 wks got out before even 100 runs on board while chasing ? I think he is referring to one man - Thushara who gave some respectability to their score in all these matches (so he was the only guy who fought !) and that too when all was lost and there was nothing to lose !
This is a funny comment from a senior cricketer like him.

You are right I agree with you. I think Thushare was the only person who fought out for them. Jayawardena should talk about his teams performance and pressure instead of Indian teams performance. His comments are like a small kid. kids cry or do not agree their defeat and he is also of that type... he he
Whoever won the tosss won the match...thats it... The pitches in Srilanka are so pathetic, playing second difficult always.. I am very sure Mendis wont do any magic in Aus or England or SA, as it wont spin. Even if batsman dont read him, still ball will come straight. So he is going to get thrashed...

When Mendis will come India, every Indian will smash him like they did Murali(more dangerous than Mendis) in past.
Ind - Aus series is bigger and more competative than Ashes. Every cricket fan want to see full strength of both side. So I wish Aussies will come India with their full strength team(including Symonds and injured Ponting) and Uthappa, Sachin, Sehwag, Sreesanth and Ishant will come back in India side.

It was a pathetic performance from the so called young titans but they meekly surrendered to the lankansi in the last match. Had Dada and Sachin were there we could have won the match. These youngsters are not able to handle fame and pressure.
