Rich getting richer philosophy
by SSM on Sep 01, 2008 10:56 AM

Sharad Pawar's following the Rich getting richer philosophy...Mumbai doesn't need such funds they already have enough, or can easily generate more if they need it. These funds should have been given to other regions/states which are struggling w/finances for young cricketers...like the so-called smaller states - Kerala, the North East, Orissa (I am from Orissa, fyi), J & K etc.
So, it's business as usual...spend funds where it is needed the least.
Cricket has been the greatest unifying force in our country divided by caste, creed, language, regional feelings. Let us use cricket to generate cricketers from neglected regions like the North East, for example.

Is BCCI listening? I am afraid they are not...

It isn't public money, BCCI is autonomous from the Sports Ministry and does not receive government funding.

Joaquim funny man u r.

What do you think? Money will be spent for the welfare of Mumbaites or for Mumbai cricket? By this time, the greedy admins might have shared the money among themselves.

And ofcourse it is public money.

Really wonder! u have come out in support of corrupt orgn like BCCI!

They do everything in the name of India.

joaquim
fully professional attitude. but you ignored that BCCI represents country & it is questionable for their spending since it comes from Indian public only.

Every Indian organization gets money from Indian public only. Be it government or Private. That does not mean they are destined to please public in spending their own money.

There is no need of that. If we say BCCI to do that then same advice needs to be given to all the organizations in India.

Rackless spending of BCCI fund & OPEN TAX violation
by PK on Aug 31, 2008 07:52 PM  | Hide replies

Sharad Power is sucking money out of BCCI fund and distributing them at his will. The benificiaries are mostly West Zone. Other regional units are largely ignored.

OPEN TAX violation: Imagine If everybody does the same thing.... Unfortunately, if someone else does this, he will be sternly taken up... But for politicians, every thing is OK ?????

With regards to the open tax violation you have mentioned, let me say that business in the world does it.

Since BCCI and MCA have to present a different set of accounts they are doing at such a large scale.

The house I live in is owned by my company and I rent it by paying Rs. 500 per month, so that the rent paid is negligible for tax purposes.

totally regional point of view. if BCCI's headquarters would have been situated at another zones, wont BCCI spend on it. will you protest it the same way.

BTW, how many players from Mubmai & maharashtra have been selected by sharad pawar & vengy in current squad. it is right that he is corrupt politician. but you pointed out the whole community.
