by Bhavik Shankar on Aug 30, 2008 12:45 PM

If T20 makes the olymics other major countries like USA, China, Germany, France ect.. will start to take cricket seriously. This can onlybegood for the development of the game as a global sport

look at their performance
by nitn on Aug 30, 2008 06:17 AM

australia population = 19 million (Approx population of mumbai)
Olympic tally = 14 gold, 15 silver, 17 bronze.
I consider them a bigger sporting power than USA( 300million) and china(1300 million)

wise suggestion
by Bhavik Babaria on Aug 29, 2008 08:51 PM

if football can find the place in olympics, then certainly cricket is no different to football.after all there is an superb equality among the sports played in olympics, there is no dominance present in olympics of any game/sport.so it would not be the case where cricket will be the epicenter of the interest of the fans all over the globe.

T20 does nuthing...lets have 5 day matches which test the players skill..unlike t20 where half talented guys like gony, mccullum, asnodkar etc make merry, unlike tests where ganguly, sachin are legends. 5 day matches for olympics, and GOLD MEDAL courtesy Sachin

Please dont include Cricket otherwise China will beat india and will win medals. Its better that among 8 nations we are one of the best. So please dont lose this status.

Fool, 20 -20 takes not more than 3, 3.5 hours. 15 overs can be bowled in an hour , count yourself. A tennis match can go upto 3 hours why we cant have a team game which goes for 3 hours.

23% people of olympic participating countries live in cricket playing nations.
The only problem was a cricket match take long time. But we can include now 20-20 format in olympic.

20-20 will take atleast 4 to 5 hours for a match. there is no such a long time game in OLY. & it is the game of lazy people.so not include is better
