Wonderful to see Dhoni Rocking...
by MKJFans on Aug 29, 2008 01:50 PM

Its wonderful to see him playing good,
His captaincy is also at its best.'
his motivation skills are also fine.
his passion towars indian sports also great.
his congratulation to Olympics madels winners came at right time.

NOW HE MUST WORK FOR INDIAN SPORTS RATHER THAN INDIAN CRICKET ONLY.

I know him that he will not be the part of Poletics, and always does well for indian sports.

Dhoni attributes his success to the 'toss'. Thank God, we don't hear proud comments like, 'we batted better', 'we bowled better', etc.

Dhoni knows how to handle players on the field. He is born as a leader but he is not made. Whenever he is on the field he never shows difference between Yuvi and other players. He gives his comments to all the loose fielders.

The fact is that despite winning the toss and having the benefit of batting and bowling in favourable conditions, the team winning the toss has nevertheless to use those conditions and put up a defendable total and then go on to defend it.

In the past several such occasions have been frittered away.

One occasion which comes to mind instantly is a test match played by India in England by Dravid's team, where India had a lead of more than 300 runs, chose not to enforce the follow on and then struggled to draw the test.

Dravid
by vsgiri on Aug 29, 2008 12:41 PM  | Hide replies

If Dhoni has to thank anyone it should be the great Dravid. The magnanimity shown by Dravid paved the way for Indian cricket which was on the bring of collapse because of the politics of the East and Media controlled by them like NDTV, Sahara and Star. They are worst than Kashmiris. What is happening in Singur or Nandigram is given preferance and they will get their things done at any cost and everytime Govt. has to bail them out by providing finance for not contributing anything to the Nation

Today's match
by Orient Mystique on Aug 29, 2008 12:29 PM  | Hide replies

I sincerely wish that players like Gambhir, Yuvraj (with bat), Badrinath and Rohit Sharma do very well in today's match to come back home with a more positive and jubilant mind, satisfaction of contributing to a sweeter victory margin of 4-1 and confidence for the future.

Go youngistan, go!

I don't know why only the leader should lead every time in the field of batting. Dhoni is the only Wicketkeeper, but i found that in every match he is the main controller of the game. It is only the duty of Skipper to do his duty and not any other responsibilities.

Dhoni doesn't like "seniors", so he is sceming to get rid of Garry Kirsten also.. Maybe he wants a "young" coach.. like Yuvraj Singh:)

we...
by Ravi Kumar on Aug 29, 2008 11:25 AM  | Hide replies

I am not regular in rediff forums. But every time I enter in to any forum, one thing I can see. Many of us don't have open mind and dont give unbiased comments. Most people are blind fans of particular cricketer and for them their hero is great and everyone else are useless. Openions are heavily biased towards their favourite cricketes and they resort to rubbishing everyone else.

Not only cricket forum, this can be seen in every rediff forum, whatever may be the topic.

No wonder, we are ruled by outsiders for most of the time and still are third worls country inspite of plenty of natural and human resources.

Unless we become rational and come out of blind idolizing, situation can't change. because, once we have a blind faith, it stop's from thinking action in rational manner.

Good day guys!!!

Boss, most of the time we are having fun. We are not journos sitting here to watse our time giving "world peace" messages. We are here to enjoy some light herated banter and that's all it is. No need to get so worked up about the history and geography of our nation:)

Nahi, cricket ke baap Sachin ne. People have forgotten how much Sachin contributed to that series win. He score 1 centruy and two half centuries ( total 399 runs in 10 mathce/ highest score 117 not out) during that tri- nation series and the whole nation was going ga-ga over sachin at that time. Dhoni scoed lower than sachin but kept on bragging about himself and how he got the seniors out of the team. That was the issue which created Sachin- Dhoni rift. More on that theory later:)
