The team that wins tody will win the series. That's for sure. Both teams are morally down after the first two matches. But the team who wins today will have an edge.

Why AT LEAST ON THIS ON THIS ONE DAY? Did they not fare well enough in the 2nd ODI by beating Sri Lanka? Why do u find this victory not so convincing? At the time of winning India had one specialist batsman at the crease and were good enough for another 30-40 runs.
I do not know why so much fuss is being made about India losing seven wickets. The pitch was such that Sri Lankans lost all the ten wickets for fewer runs. I am afraid rediff writer is living some sort of a fear complex.

Winning the Toss made the difference No Complex! if Sri Lanka had won the toss and bowled first, India would have found it difficult to cross 100. Matches are biased towards team bowling first due to early life.

That only goes to show that Indian team is matching Sri Lankans very well.

I agree that we won but that was brought about by our bowling rather than by our batting. Dhoni and Badri batted beautifully and had it not been for them we would have been 2 down by now. What is a cause for concern is the top 4 of our batting who have repeatedly let us down and have neither shown any aggression nor the willingness to rotate the strike and build a partnership. One cannot expect the bowlers to bail us out everytime and i wd sincerely hope that our top 4 would play positively and not create a demon out of mendis.

Agreed, but bowlers are there for bowling out opposition for small totals when conditions favour them. Batters are there for doing what they did. Dhoni and Badri did what was expected of them. With both Gambhir and Sahwag out due to injury some weakness in this Department is natural. Replacements of players like these are not easy to get. I think over, all Indians are doing quite well. Perhaps that shadow of the test series is making us feel nervous. As Dhoni has rightly said, this is a different team. So let us watch todays game with optimism.
