Please check his atrocious umpiring record against Indian batsmen and how many times India & Pakistan complained against him. Then call him non-racist.

He was fair and had the guts to call a spade a spade. the whole world knows murali chucks and only hair had the guts to say that.

BTW.. he never had an issue with Indians.

That is not true. He officiated in the 1999 series when India visited Australia (Kapil Dev was the coach and Tendulkar the captain). There were plenty of controversies, including charges of racism. However, as usual, BCCI did not stand behind the Indian team (just like Bucknor in the 2003 tour) and Hair continued on.

Sir, with due respect, here are the facts about Darrel Hair's "racist" bias against Indian cricket team.
From Wikipedia:
He started his test career in 1992 in an India- Australia test match which Australia won and the whole match was surrounded by Hair's controversial LBW decisions against India; total 8 LBW decision!
Even Wisden quoted that “the game was marred … by controversy over lbw decisions – eight times Indians were given out, while all but two of their own appeals were rejected”.
Read What BBC has to say about his chucking decisions against Murali.
“It was on Boxing Day 1995 that Hair became embroiled in the row that made him a household name from Kandy to Kalgoorlie.
On the first day of the second Test between Australia and Sri Lanka at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Hair no-balled Muttiah Muralitharan seven times in three overs for chucking.
This was despite the fact that Hair was at the bowler's end, rather than at square leg, from where an umpire would ordinarily study a bowler's action. “
There have been umpires like Dickie Bird and David shepherd who earned worldwide respect without compromising with the fairness of their decisions. Umpires should be “authoritative” not “autocratic”.

It was Steve Bucknor who had issues with Indians and Hair had issue with Pak cause he caught them for Ball tampering
If calling a chucker a chucker and a no ball a no ball and penalizing a team for ball tampering is racism then just have pak umpire for pak matches and asokadesilva and cooray for srilanka matches and sk bansal for all indian matches, they will all rule in favour of us and that wont be racism

Here is what The Independent ( London) wrote about Darrel Hairs’ controversial behavior with Indian Cricket Team in 1999.

“In 1999, Hair had a row with the then India coach Kapil Dev which began with Hair walking up to Ajit Agarkar during a game against New South Wales in Sydney when the medium pacer expressed disappointment at a decision.

Then, when a television replay showed Hair's colleague was wrong with another decision, the burly Australian reportedly warned the India captain, Sourav Ganguly: "You are not supposed to watch replays and make gestures. The Pakistanis did it and now if you do it you will get into trouble."

Ganguly's explanation fell on deaf ears.

It is thought that the sub-continent's complaints played a big role in the Australian umpire being left out of the International Cricket Council's lite panel of umpires when it was first constituted in 2002. ”
