Pull out

There is no other way to go for S.A's except to pull out. Their non-participation makes nothing difference

Cricket is no longer only game
by Kaushik Pal on Aug 23, 2008 01:23 PM

After the success in olympics it will be impossible to stop other sportsmen from getting the limelight. To be the best in the world is not easy out of over 200 countries whereas cricket is played by only a few nations. Our cricketers have nothing to offer except all bogus in fighting. It is better if the CT is not held. Let Sachin and Dhoni have reeeest and shhooot aaaaads

ICC and BCCI's Guarantee
by Ramanjaneyulu Gandluri on Aug 23, 2008 11:25 AM

If ICC and BCCI can guarantee that they would bring back the lives of all the players and spectators, should terrorists strike and kill any of them, then we can prostrate and plead with all these Teams that their lives are safe and they can play in CT.

those who support the sa pull out from pak says, pak is a terrorist nation, and deserves the treatment.

thats a fact that pak is a terrorist nation but then ind is the most suffered country due to their terrorist activity, so ind shud take lead in pulling out from pak and not those whites. ind shud isolate pak in the world forum.

Risky proposition
by Shyama Sreenath on Aug 23, 2008 09:37 AM  | Hide replies

It is a dangerous step if we allow our cricketers to go to Pakistan for Champions trophy. The situation is almost like Civil War with Zardari and Nawas almost parting ways on issues. The Kashmir issue may throw up some miscreants who can harm our cricketers. As the saying goes "Fools rush in where Angels fear to..."

No problems, let the pakistan handle the protection. Our players are not too worried .. so u should be .

The ones who are afraid can stop from going and give an opportunity for others to proove themselves.

Mystery of Indian Cricket and Cricket fans and cricket establishment

Pakistan is an open enemy of the country, India. Why should we play cricket with this country? We keep funny notions in our mind - that sports should be separated from Politics. But why? Is it not a shame that they keep instigating terrorist attack on India and attack us at Kargil and we play cricket with them and allow them to participate in 20-20 tournaments and earn huge amounts of Indian Money... all in the name of cricket // It is probably Ok to play with them in international arena - not in Pakistan or India.

Exactly, what you say is right. We should not be supporting Pakistan when its Credentials are being Questioned Internationally. We should withdraw Support and Protest against that Country.

No one can play under scare
by swetambar on Aug 23, 2008 07:05 AM

It is a sensible issue. Despite security, there were instances of bomb explosions in pak and there is no secrecy about their hatred to the people other than islamic nations

In sports and games, one needs a mental comfort level to perfrom. No one can perform under scare and insecurity

If the decission of SA or auastralia is not to participate in the trophy, it is wrong to give a political/racial twists
