Canada seeks Indian cricket expertise........
by Anurag Rathore on Aug 22, 2008 11:35 AM

After recognising cricket as its national sport, Canada is now seeking Indian expertise to develop the game in the country.

"Canada needs expertise of Indian coaches and Test players to help the country in achieving excellence in this game," Cricket Canada Chief Executive Officer Atul Ahuja said after hosting a reception in honour of cricket players participating in the first-day international tri-series being held here.

He said the BCCI should appreciate it that it was in the interest of cricket to invest in neutral country like Canada so that Cricket could be played in all seasons.

What you think guys? We will soon get one more test nation.

Indian pitches......
by Anurag Rathore on Aug 22, 2008 10:33 AM  | Hide replies

Because of the nature of Indian pitches I like to see more overseas tour of India.
Our overseas record is much good than home record in last 3-4 years.
Because we don't have quality spinners, our strength is now fast bowling. Secondly nowadays foreign teams plays well spin because they have quality spinner in their squad now like Vettori, M.Panesar, P.harris, B.Hogg(recently retired) etc.

im talking about the comfort for spectators who bought the ticket for exorbitant price & even sometimes in black market. have you ever attended the ground. Wankhede is the worst stadium in Mumbai, i watched several mathces over there. you cannot bring water bottle from outside, you force to buy it for Rs. 60/bottle from the counter rented by ground committiee

ICC is Right
by Nirman on Aug 22, 2008 09:54 AM  | Hide replies

ICC is correct when they say that It cannot be held in INDIA AND PAKISTAN. In India in last 3 months there have been three major serial blasts and all the 3 were at cricket centres. In Pakistan every now and then there are blasts. WHY should a Major tournament be held at these places. It should definetly be shifted to either Australia/SA/england.

When England, SA, Aus, NZ players are ready to come in India despite of blasts then why major tournaments should not be held in India?
India has most(highest) venue for cricket among all the test playing nations.

BCCI bunch of jokers
by Rajesh on Aug 22, 2008 08:15 AM  | Hide replies

Why this BCCI carrying balls of PCB? It is absolutely right on the part of aus & nz board as the security is totally messy now as yeaterday also there was a suicide bombing near islamabad.Anyway if they caryy on also there wont be any interest as aus,nz & sa are not going to participate.
