In One Day Cricket, where mostly, wickets are flat, and there are field restrictions, Sachin may continue to sizzle, ocassionally even in second innings also. But, in Test Matches he has been completely useless since the year 2000, being totally unable to save a single game with his gritty batting. The last fighting innings he played was in 1999 against Pakistan at Chennai, where India lost, but he cannot be blamed. As I understand, big money lies in limited overs games. He should therefore be advised to retire from Test Cricket, and focus on ODIs only.
Whenever a oneday series start, before that somehow Sachin got injury. Actually, whether he is not interested to play oneday game or the selecters are sidelined him by saying he is injured. Which is true ?

not complaining abt figures, it may be right...... Just the fact that in current lot, noone is there to replace him. so better not talk about replacing or saching the Lord of the Game.

At the present scenario only Ganguly should be replaced with Y.Singh. Kumble and Dravid deserve one more chance. Sachin(leave the current series) and Laxman is also performing well.
India has own 35 matches out of which dravid has got 5,kumble-07.bhaji-05,laxman-04,dada-02 man of the matches. He has not a done a single match winning contribution.when sachin made a centuri either that was draw or lost.

I agree with you.
Also, look at the excuses that Sachin gives to avoid playing Mendes. He's been ruled out of the one day series due to some injury. I doubt his physical fitness when he just falls down while fielding and then he opts out of the entire one day series.
I mean we have all played a lot of cricket, we have all fell down and had terrible injuries. But have we been out of action for more than a day or two? I guess, NO. Why? Because we had that mental strength to go and play.
But Sachin seems to have mentally accepted that he cannot play against Mendes.
