its too early to give captaincy for KP. But we cannot hide the talantcy of a player who knows he would be a next dhoni for English cricket.. Any have BEST OF LUCK for Kevin Pietersen to lead in team safely.

Why you are comparing with Dhoni? Dhoni mostly never took the team win in finals..india lost almost 18 finals under his head

Dhoni was not around for 18 finals... It is just in 2008 that we had Dhoni starting out as captain of the ODI team.. and you already made him captain for 18 finals?

After you become selector or President of BCCI you can do it with the hope that he will be helping india to win series abroad

Saurav Ganguly recently said he would not be available for Bengal. So he may be tried to captain England.
The English cricket board has been regular in giving non-English cricketers a crack at captaincy! Agreed that Kevin is half-English but we have had Nasser Hussain earlier who have had the privilege of leading England.
Pietersen's acid test as long as he continues to be the captain will obviously be against his home country South Africa. Very much like the minority players in other Asian countries ( the Muralidharans, Azharuddins and Danish Kanerias) who strain to perform well against their arch rivals just to be more loyal than the king!

we have done same thing with Srikanth, Azhar, Sachin Tendulkar and now Dhoni. Infact in pressure of modern cricket, only very few exceptions of performing captians like Ponting and Smith are there.
