Kumbu made a big mistake by not selecting Sehwag for the first two tests against Australia considering very well that Sehwag had scored 195 in Melbourne in 2003-04. I feel the captains whether it was Ganguli, Dravid or Kumbu, have not shown faith in him for reasons best known only to them. About y/day's match, Kumbu failed miseraly in his bowling as well as captaincy. His field placement was horrible. It is high time retires from Cricket along with his colleagues Dravid and Ganguli, who have crossed the hills.
It is a pity except shewag nobody was not able to score They muat realise how to play according to the pitch conditions as well as a bowler who is commanding so much respect.
In Indian cricket after Sachin Shewag's arrival on the scene has been a great revelation. True there are times when he throws away his wicket causing embarrassment to his team but most of the times he has been a shining star. To think he was dropped from the team inspite of his performances cannot be understood.A number of players who are less talented and have performed below their ability for longer periods are permanent fixtures. Maybe the selectors have set a much higer standard for Veeru.
It is time the old warhorses make way honourably for the youngsters waiting on the wings. Veeru should take over captaincy from Anil and players including Sachin should retire.
great batsmanship by sehwag. but bit amazed with others batting except vvs. its understood that pitch is not great but still one batsman makes 200 runs and other top 4 cannot even reach a double figure
