Harbhajan issue
by Ganga Prasad on Apr 28, 2008 11:30 AM

The way Sreesanth has been changing statements, it is quite clear that the matter has been settled 'off-court'.
Harbhajan gets some token punishment, where he deserves a life ban or at least a five-year ban, and Sreesanth gets a censure, where he desrves none.
Whatever happens; Sreesanth will never be the same player again. His career as a cricketer is as good as over.
Monica Seles was never the same player after the stabbing incident. Physical wounds heel, but psychological impact lingers.

Mcgrath correctly told Shreesanth that hios aggreessivenes is artificial.100% true.We should never encourage such kind of people or such kind of aggressivenenss .Both should be prevented to behave such badly again.I also heard that he is a phsyciatry patient.

The slapping beauty and the ape...
by Agape Institute on Apr 27, 2008 05:24 PM

Though the slapping issue is totally unjustifiable, I personally believe it is good for Srishant and the game at large. First, such an attack on a player by a player should never take place and strict action should be taken. What, if it was an outsider who had slapped??? Harbhajan should be treated in the same way, and if possible should be banned from the game. On the second thought we cannot afford to loose a pace bowler like Shrishant on the flimsy reason of he being a bit psychic. Something need to be done, and I believe that something came from Harbhajan. Shreeshant, henceforth, I hope, will control his actions in a way befitting the spirit of the game and the wild ape like jumps and actions will totally be eliminated from his sports man spirit; otherwise more Harbhajans are in the queue to take up their turns. Any way the only question since Srishant's entry was, who will bell the cat, and Harbhajan did it. Any way, as Robert Frost puts it,'there are miles to go; before the night could end'.

both sreesanth n bhajji have to b blamed.
by ben hur on Apr 27, 2008 03:27 PM

bhajji slapping sreesanth is totally unjustified. at the same time, sreesanth instigating bhajji is also equally to b blamed for the incident.

both of them hv been known to talk more with mouth instead of their skill with the ball. this has been the case since long. they both shud show their aggression on the field in their performance n shud b told in strict terms that talking rubbish against others isnt going to hide failure of their actual performance.

in all probability, both wud apologise to each other, considering that both of them r imp members of ind team, n matter vl end there with the help of referee being an unbiased respected Indian.

Is he out of his mind
by Dinesh on Apr 27, 2008 02:52 PM

Even if Sreesanth wanted to cry he would have done so alone. Why did he want to do it in front of the camera. I have serious doubts on the mental maturity and mental balance of these players.

Next time Sree stares at the batsman, the batsman is sure to mock weep at him.

You are suffering from the 'blame the victim' syndrome.
Instead of condemning torching of Kar Sevaks in Godhra, people like you blame them for picking up quarrels with Tea vendors at the Rly Station.
Great mentality. Keep it up.

Why does our cricketers love to cover up so much?
by Raman on Apr 27, 2008 08:50 AM

When Match fixing inquiry was at its peak everyone denied any knowledge of it,Sachin famously asked a reporter that he felt how can someone think of doing such a thing?
Every time a incident like this happens they lie shamelessly like how Sreesanth is doing and making it sound its all the media who is hyping it.Why dont the reporter ask him that how can he cry for just a handshake,is he that sensitive, what happened to all that so called aggression he showed with Andre Nel?
Gavaskar vs Kapil was also said to be a media hyped fight but in reality its not,not one player is man enough to ever tell the truth,no wonder we fail in the last hurdle so often and suck in WCUPs,havent won it since 1983,and yea that 20-20 thing is a joke..
