If best players and most spectators prfer T20, tests will wither away. Old mean will play it with Prem, Mukul and I watching it. Prem choice is alerady being made around you. The traditional media / Internet media analogy does not hold for many reasons. I will state just one. Live performances are perishible - At a point of time a player cannot play in T20 and test.

Test Cricket is like Classical Music, and High quality literature. T20 is like pop music, and reading comics. One invites respect, but no money. The other yields lots of money and popularity but will never be taken seriously by intellectuals.
