Saurashtra has won the Vijay Hazare trophy, one-day version of ranji trophy this year. This is done with another achievement of reaching the ranji semis this year. They r the emerging team of the year. Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravi Jadeja, Rakesh Dhruv, Odedara, Jaydev Shah r heros of the team alongwith veteran Sitanshu Kotak.
Just as I expected, the IPL promises to become a damp squib.
SRK, who thrives solely on the stupidity and lack of thought of millions of Hindi speaking Indians, has proved himself to be no more wiser than his fans, having been tricked by the IPL into putting his money into a business gamble even the normally gullible Indian masses wont support.

yeah boycott IPL. But ever spared a thought whose loss it will be? you think SRK cares or BCCI care for the money wasted? It'll be players, coaches and people at grass root level who will be crushed. C'mon INDIA think wisely. If you wanna protest atleast protest with in the interests of your countrymen! Protest for IPL to join ICL and thus approving ICL as a recognised league!
its a simple bussiness y srk cant understand it.we indians r obsessed with international matches cos there is sumkind of spirit is involved.we can buy expensive ticket for that.but in ipl matches spectators will nt have that spirit.
Imagine walking past an Indian restaurant. You can smell the aromas of the chicken tandoori and mutton biriyanis! Now lets analyze how our brain will react to this in two different situations:
1. You reach the restaurant just before lunch time after roaming around without success in a government office to get a simple task done!
2. You reach the restaurant minutes after getting out from a lunch buffet hosted by your friend for his sister's wedding reception!
The answers to above will give an indication why the IPL is doomed when the entire Indian sports calendar revolves around the mediocre cricket team.

LOL bribes, since you mentioned....what makes you think no one else has ever paid it in the Cricketing world already for so many things....including launch of ICL n IPL etc etc etc
SRK DESREVES TO LOOSE ALL HIS ILL GOTTEN MONEY FROM BOLLYWOOD IN IPL WHAT DOES SRK THINKS HIMSELF OF TRYING TO VANDALISE THE CRICKET LIKE WHAT IS HAPPENING TO SOCCER THE GOVT SHOULD BAN SUCH STUFF LIKE IPL AND DONATE THE MONEY FOR UPLIFMENT OF DOWNTRODDEN
RE:IPL FAISCO
by Mike Behrenger on Apr 15, 2008 11:13 AM
right! SRK has ill earned money from Bollywood! ok.....so next time he won't invest, maybe you should then eh! Ek to achcha kaam kiya uspe bhi tum gawaar log usko gaali do. Abe uski kya galti hai bhai? Aur tum log us se isliyeh jalte ho kyunki uske paas paisa hai. Sad man seriously, people like you need to grow up.
I sincerely wish IPL is a complete failure and not a single ticket is sold. How ridiculous is to give 3.8 crores to a guy who has performed in just one series? All the money is killing the credibility of the game itself. Each delivery bowled by Ishant fetches him a cool 1 lakh!

Right!! I really pray that this event shld be a grand failure.. all the money put in shld just feed the players and no one else shld get any money!
The strict rules given to the press scrwd it all.. they dint realise the power of media..
Now even if they let the media in, I strongly wish that they dont cover this event..!!
IPL matches shldnt even attract the crowd that an Elite C Ranji match attracts!!
I am not against SRK, I am not against Priety zinda I am not against Ambani.. I am against those dirty MFs who wanted to make this game as a business..!!

good to see you are aiming this at the board and not those hwo have investe in it and are planning their career in it. But even then, one thing i do not agree with, it was not meant to be as a business. Any league ANYWHERE is meant to run this wy or it just won't RUN and fall apart. I mean this way you coudl even call ICL a business too. Right? But its not a business! Its an sporting event, simply put! Similarly IPL is like that too. Ofcourse money has to be involved coz why else would anyone take interest in takin on this pressure of organising this big event? Anyhow, i blame our BCCI head for such stupified mess....no one else!

YOU THINK GOVERNMENT BEARS any cost WHATSOEVER? Right? And even if it does, DOES IT EVER put in anything? Had it done so, our existing Cricket system would have top notch like other countries. Forget it, i believe this goes deeper than what you can think my friend.
RE:Entertainment Tax
by Mike Behrenger on Apr 15, 2008 11:22 AM
And who is a trillionaire? These so-called "TRILLIONAIRES" also pay TAX? SRK alone paid in excess of 20 Croroes in TAX last financial year, so what more do you want? Tera koyee sage waala apna POORA tax bhi na bharta hoga, baaki to jaane de.
Everyone is giving the Bangalore team very less chance of winning,I would say they might be the surprise team of the tournament-why? a)They have Bracken one of the meanest limited over bowler b)Chanderpaul-one of the explosive batsman when he wants to be-just ask Vaas what he did last week c)Steyn-we know what he did in Motera and elsewhere d)Misbah ul haq-he almost took Pak across at T20 final e)Zaheer- he can be brilliant f)Boucher-he has scored the second fastest 50 g)White has scored the highest score in T20 h)KALLIS-BEST ALLROUNDER i)Dravid dont count him out yet, best finisher after Bevan j)Praveen Kumar well he did win 2 MOM in OZ
There are others as well,I too was fascinated by Chennai/HYd/Calcutta teams and realised that Bangalore might pull a surprise,if there is betting,-I would lay my pound on Blr.The fun is about to start let's wait and watch

YEs Mahesh we are also excite here to see IPL start soon. See ICL gets the credit for bringing in this reform to Indian cricket but its IPL which will be the norm since its supported by ICC etc. ICL is a rebel league due to political issues and i personally feel for all the players in ICL but one needs to think why ICL is not recognised by the boards. Must have been some dirt messy politics and money matters between BCCI/ICC & Subhash Chandra!
