Crazy Media and Rediff.
by pizzaboy on Apr 12, 2008 05:16 AM  | Hide replies

I highly doubt if media really boycott the IPL coverage. It all looks like Media wants IPL at any cost for their survival and they are really making it big issue. Why don't Indian Newspaper Society (INS) just keep their mouth shut and stop babling about media terms. First of all why should they need to worry about some hyped domestic tournament and I really can't understand Media as there are tons of tons of issues around the world which needs attention and coverage which INS can worry about than this IPL. If BCCI has decided that they don't media coverage then be like that. It reminds me of a story about Pied Piper, here BCCI being Pied Piper attracted the Media/rediff (rats) by IPL music. Finally all rats followed the Piper and got drowned in the river.

I agree with u media should boycott the event media should show their strength that without them this will not be sucessful, let them whatever they media should not highlite the issue.once u strict with u r decision they will come to u and will invite u to cover, that for sure, only media can hype nthe thing and the same for flop also.so lets sit together and see wht happend next.? but i hope in the last media will rush for accreditation and after all these tamasha we will see media is covering....thats rubbish and shameful dont let down u r morals u people r not beggars............show them their unity....

by raj on Apr 11, 2008 11:59 PM  | Hide replies

show them power of media and people. its best that they are left alone with their financiers.

let sharukh and the players dance together and watch each other.

the rest of the country can go about their business

Its not like the Media isnt making money out of IPL.. they will cover IPL not because of the larger interest of the nation or anything its because covering IPL will mean ad revenues for them too... So newspapers should come down from their high horse. Its not a event thats happened randomnly..

IPL is the greediest form of bcci. its a greedy businessman's dream come true.

its a nightmare for india. since bcci is acting so greedy.

i really wish that there's no last minute patchup the bcci is so used to. they will show once again that they can only do business by waiting till the last minute.

they have screwed up india's reputation, and also thrown away the advantage of running the game cos we provide al lthe funds. instead they are in a forever arrogant mode. we as a growing country want to be fair, not to be a bully, that too a corrupt, political, greedy, cheap and unprofessional bully.

because we don't passionately support our local teams. IPL can never be like EPL where each club has die-hard fans,

true this looks like a half hearted effort - in order to go one up over icl. even icl is a lost chance.

all they had to do was launch proper local teams or some sort of sppeal built into a team.
