Thanks Rambo. There are three major phases in these awards
First- World war era(1930-1950)-= Three players got wisden-Pataudi,Merchant, colonel Naidu.

There was yawning gap (1950-70)and

Then in Gavaskar era(1970-90)-four Chandra, Sunny , Kapil & Colonel Dillep'

Last is Sachin era(1990-2010) again four- Sachin, Dravid, Laxman & Zaheer

Sikander
Zaheer, Sree and Ishant would be a good attack
by Sikander on Apr 09, 2008 12:39 PM

RP has conceded 235 runs in his last 2 full Tests without a wicket against SA and 1 Test against Aus at Adelaide. He definately is injured or totally out of form. Cant have a leading fast bowler with such poor performance.
Hope Ishant is fully fit now and hope Zaheer comes back to fitness quickly.
Without good fast bowlers even great spinners like Kumble / Harbhajan will be useless as they would have to come to bowl with score reading 75 or 100 for no loss.
I feel India will lose the third Test as well because we cannot accept our Batsmen to bat under pressure all the time.

In the year 2002, India didnt play Australia in champions trophy, though they were the joint champions with Srilanka. You must be referring to Steve Waugh's wicket, he took in 2000 edition of champions trophy.(one with Yuvraj's 84 of 80)

yes when he got him with a swinging yorker which bowled steve waugh. That was an important match for India and which showed the needle edge in India Australia clashes in the modern age - from 1996 till date. But strange why we are so meek against South Africa.

by akshay kumar on Apr 09, 2008 09:21 AM
the guy is surely from gujrat or he is a staunch supporter of moditwa. His claims r another attempt to insult the indian muslims through a blatant lie. Indian muslims dont have to prove their patriotism .The RSS and other sangh parivar outfits are also terrorist units as they have committed many crimes(riots in gujrat, bambay etc) against indians. They are the biggest threat for india's unity

Here is my take on this... does not matter if someone in the crowd is Hindu, Muslim, Sick or whatever... as long as you are an Indian and you support a team from a country which is apparently an enemy nation hell-bent of promoting jihad in India, you have a serious problem and should be kicked out of the country if not shot down - does not matter what religion, does not matter if you white, black, blue or green.

its a stupid game. a sport... if you cheer for india it doesnt mean ur patriotic.. please cheering a cricket team is not what all patriotism is.. its not such a shallow thing... if a game is being played between india and australia and u like australians it doesnt mean u r not patriotic... bring some perspective .. its a damn sport...

But plz dont generalize this ... There might be a few people supporting pakistan but let me assure you that they are a minority. Majority of the muslims infact support India.

good 1 dingbat

well m a muslim but m a indian first and everytime i do cheer do india in watever sport they play and whoever they play against

but well i too have friends who are non-muslims and they dont support india.well i think its thier personal choice we cant force them to support INDIA.but yes what we can do is cheer louder for INDIA so that thier voices go unheard

all the fingers in your hand arent equal but u should know how to use those unequal things equally

This is not true , this is another allegation like the Muslims Mosque Taj Mahal being a HIndu temple ,adn Babri masjid being a Hindu Temple, this is just another LIE which comes from the Hindutva lab of immoral Hindu Terrorist organization RSS.
