Although the ban is quite justified, however I doubt that the ban will last 5 years. PCB is sure to call him back after a couple of months. As a bowler he cannot be ignored.

quite right. he was successful only in the first two years.. after that india was not really threatened by him, even when he was at his best.
Its most likely is the end of the road for the over puffed shoaib akhtar , who as a bowler has also lost his sheen after the 2003 worldcup...It definately is a bold decision by the PCB & a good one too to teach the others a lesson.........
I think Shoaib Akhtar ruined his career himself...If sit down to calculate his Income, he will find that he has paid more fines than earning ..... Good Crickter but lack in discipline, which cost him his career.....
