Well! It was a great feeling watching India beat Pakistan in the final of the 1st Twenty20 tournament. I can understand this would again bring back the lost excitement of India and its cricket maniac population. The team has played well as a unit and gave us a great victory. My request to all, specially to the media that please don't start making heroes again. Look at Australia, or the famous West Indies team of 80's. They are great because they do not have a hero in them. They all perform as a unit and play for the nation. Hero-worshiping has made this nation lose some of the great prospects of International Sports. Let them enjoy their game, I am sure the team will give the nation more reasons to be happy in future.
Admin! Was IT 2020 world cup? "India clinched the inaugural Twenty20 cricket World Cup" Such a responsible portal and media channel are declaring that India won Twenty20 cricket World Cup this is totally wrong.
http://worldtwenty20.yahoo.com/abouttwenty20/history.html The ICC Board agreed to the inclusion of an ICC World Twenty20 competition at a meeting in April 2006.
The team selected for first 4 one dayers must be changed immediately. Sachin, Saurav and Dravid must come forward voluntarily and make way for youngsters who performed creditably in 20/20, like Joginder, Yusuf Pathan etc. Will they come forward. Will a miracle happen
Now it is proved that stars are never required to win world cup. We require performers and not stars. A question to all - should our stars not realise the fact that time has come to vacate the place for performers.

I agree totally. When we won our first world cup, Kapil and his boys were not stars. Then and now again, it is proved that stars rarely perform. We require performers, not stars.
I am absolutely pissdup with the Indian government. I am totally disagreeing with Indian politicians. Who the hell they are to offer our many to cricket player? As of they do not have single many paisa. What much they have done for India? It is just their job to play well and bring the cup in fact they are getting good payments for each mach when compare to other countries. We can see many peoples in every where in our country who struggling for food and shelter why not Indian governments look after them and why not they offer the many to these people? I want some to make India government to understand.

India won Nehru Football cup recently and nobody care for the goal scorer who still lives in a pathetic condition. No offer so far. Cricket is getting undue importance these days eventually end up in sidelining other world known games.. Dudes it is just 9 courtiers across the world!!! And they way we celebrates like we conquered the whole world%u2026 Atrocious!!! Good and I appreciate the T20 form game as it does not eat up the whole day.

Pramod come and see what karnataka politicians are offering so much many to players. which can be used for some good purpose. Is karnataka is not a part of India Govt?

Deela,
BCCI money is not Govt. money. It is the money given by cricket -lovers in India, and by the Channels and Industry who advertise through cricket. In fact, Govt. gets money through BCCI through cricket -lovers. Ok?

Mr. Deela,
I want to add further that, out of this BCCI money, the players have to pay a good amount to the Govt. as income tax. Understand? Further, please say'money', not 'many'.
The unexpected dream win of the young Indian Cricket Team has united the nation in celebrations. No one expected India to reach even the semi-final but cup victory is a sweet windfall for the entire nation. But now the dream is over we have to face the reality. Again the selection process and the politics played by the senior players is going to be avery big challenge for M.S.Dhoni. His real test begins only now when he has to manage politics from different quarters. Best of luck to him.
