What kind of financial guarantees the ICL have? Does anyone know for sure that ICL would be around in few years. The players should consider this factor in deciding and not chase shadows and risk their active test cricket.
It appears ICL appears to be best suited for retired or 'has been' cricketers like Brian Lara etc.
However,PCB and BCCI,should not take such a radical, drastic, retributive ,self deprecating stand against players joining ICL. There seems to be no problem with the Cricket Boards when players play English County cricket. When these players are not playing national cricket, its their time, they should be able to do whatever they want with their spare time. It would be a shame to lose top players due to bureaucratic arrogance.
Afterall, cricket is not for ever and players do have a limited shelf life and these players are professionals.
Whats wrong if the players can make few extra bucks? Boards don't want their star players ending up in poor houses in few years.
