Hogg, a hogwash
by espsai@yahoo.com on Sep 23, 2007 05:54 PM

This Rodney Hogg was a bowler who was picked by the Australian side which then was depleted by the exodus of its star players to Kerry Packer's cricket extravaganza. Otherwise, he would never had an opportunity to play for Australia. And even when he came to play, his first action before delivering the ball was to fall flat at the crease, then get up and go back to bowl again. Such players also now have the privilege to talk about international cricket. He was badly battered and bruised by the Indian batsmen then and the Australians realised what a serious error of judgment it was to select him to represent Australia.
Naturally, such disappointed characters have some such things to say about the others. Probably, he is emulating the English press, which, by denigrating the Australian team, had succeeded in ensuring their defeat in the hands of the English team two seasons ago. But, the cat-eyed Hogg, you won't succeed in your mission of employing intimidatory tactics. Already, your lot had been kicked out of Twenty20 championship, close on the heels of your dirty comments.
You are now an aged person. Now, it is high time you learnt to talk sensibly. Don't insult your country by your foolish talk.

by Suresh Chamarajanagar on Sep 23, 2007 06:37 AM  | Hide replies

These guys were probably paid something to make some statements like this. Or they are probably getting something out of this. Whatever!!
What are our ex-players doing? Why dont they go and talk some rubbish about these guys and the current Aussie team?
That could be some kind of medicene for this 'Mind Game' crap!!
Gavaskar tried this once and it back fired him. He had to go back and apologize for what he said. So, you should not be crossing the line.

Arrogant idiots
by Ajeet Singh on Sep 23, 2007 04:10 AM

Incredible arrogance. Aussies may be the best team in the world but they don't have to make such stupid comments.
Hogg and Bright were never world beaters themselves. Clark is hardly the fastest bowler in the world. I'm sure Yuvraj is quaking in his boots!!
I hope India thrashes them in the ODIs & then in the Test series afterwards as well.
