which game has five days duration? so test match can be replaced by one day match and the latter one can be replaced by the latest and shortest version of cricket competition.

The name itself suggest why its called a test match. In test match the skills, patience, endurance, strategies, talents, captaincy tactics everything is being tested of the bowlers, batsmen, fielders & captains. Its like a game of chess where you use your best men & moves to win the match. In one day & T20 its just hard hitting and no one is tested for their skills & talent. Imagine any low rank player on his day will smash any world class bowler all around the park. So my friend take a little cricket knowledge and then comment.

my dear friend, any game or any entertainment things are towards to make happiness or time pass for humane. you take test cricket only patience canbe checked. all other things particularly the player skills and handle the pressure situation can be seen in less duration competitions only. if you see in test cricket the runs scored from singles and twos will be very occasion but from fours will be very frequent. this is because the fielder who will not run to stop the ball, once the ball pass the fielder mostly it wil be four so it makes the fielder becomes very lazy. but in the case of one day cricket, fielder and batsman should be always very cautious even in shortest version the alertness require a bit more. body will get tired for satisfation level from enjoyable competition. why test match was popular in early days becouse the british people who were the ruler of many countries had no work other than ruling the poor people, so for them time pass was required though 50% of the test matchs only gives results. now we people watching our players to win the competition that too during our rest times. so it is better to change these formats.

See in Oneday Match a Batsman of even Dhonis Technique can heat the ball and it may go through vacant slip area and he will get a four. so he will become a big hero soon as runs matter. But in Test Crocket this will not happen everyday..so you need to work hard for your reward... and that should be the case in life...It should not be easily earned like ODI and now 20-20. So I will say Test Cricket is real test of an Individual....

I agree with you. First 60 overs, then 55 overs, then 50 overs, now 20 overs. Later bowl on the three stumps. who ever hits the stumps maximum times will be the world champion. These are totally in favour of the batsmen. The bowler bowls a no ball. A free hit is awarded. What nonsence. Earlier Packers one day matches were called circus. If they were not then 20 overs matches are definately a circus.

I don't think its a totally Batsman favoured. If you see a good spell of any one of teh five bowler will actually change the 20-20 match when both the side is equally balanced. Denniel Vettoro has done it for NZ against India and the R.P.singh for India against South Africa.
