India vs England: Third Test

A win is a win, and while there will be plenty who felt that a '2-0' win sounds better than a '1-0' win, the fact that a series that looked difficult to save after the Lords Test was won.

It was all about attitude, feels BCCI
NEW DELHI, "There are five players in the team whose attitude needs to be sorted out," the official stressed.
When asked to name the players, he suggested names like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh and Ajit Agarkar.

Leaving the rough road
What price the Indian captaincy, indeed? Is it worth being constantly under scrutiny, every move dissected, every call discussed threadbare, every decision debated upon, every act questioned?

Reined in, skipper wants to break free Most theories doing the rounds about Rahul Dravid's abdication are way off the mark. Junk immediately, dark suggestions about sinister lobbies at work and whispers of a dressing room conspiracy leading to a slickly constructed coup

worst decision
by Mangesh on Sep 19, 2007 06:42 PM  | Hide replies

It is the worst decision tht has been taken by BCCI n ultimately it is showing tht nobody wants to learn from previous experience....It not logical to keep Ganguly away from captaincy. we shd think for Indias better future....youngsters like Dhoni need to learn abt cptaincy under seniours like dhoni....only such things will take India to winning track....
I am really feeling bad for India....but wht can b done if power is in wrong hands....instead I wll say in hand of mad peoples....

BCCI & PAWAR
by gopinath khatua on Sep 19, 2007 04:44 PM

I think India's leading batsman like Saurav, sachin & Dravid are bubbishing by BCCI.I never see the Mental Crack person like Pawar,Crazy-mad member in the BCCI.If they are thinking that, we are leading the india cricket,at least they should presume to know, how to lead.Distrubing Indian Cricket & senior Players means, they are ultimately prove that, they are the disputed person from thir famillies.i.e.they shown their family background.

At last Agarkar was dropped
by sai krishna on Sep 19, 2007 03:31 PM

Agarkar was dropped from the side is a good news. But, what about Rohit Sharma. He was not given a chance to play single match. All along he was on Chair and now he was dropped this is ridiculous. How can they drop a player without giving him a chance. Yo Mahesh is also playing well and he is an Allrounder. He might have been given a chance. What about Badrinath, playing well continuously and not getting chance. Looking for allrounders and Joginder Sharma, or Praveen kumar are not considered. They have selected same old people again in the side. Another happy news is that Munaf Patel was dropped from the side. Though he was bowling well, but according to our Bowling coach Vekatesh Prasad he was in-consistant and not fully fit. If Harbhajan is in the team what is the justification of having Ramesh Powar,in his place Praveen Kumar can be considered because he is an allrounder.

Has Pawar gone totally MAD or what??
by CrispinJohnSusiharan on Sep 19, 2007 03:25 PM  | Hide replies

Pawar was half mad when he played politics with Ganguly.. But now he has made Dhoni as the captain of the team.. Pawar is a new person to cricket. He does'nt even know the ABCD of cricket.. He has appointed one of the same kind as captain....I think he is now totally mad...
