A good cricket pro may have a life of around 10 to 12 years. Indian cricket has been blessed with some exceptional cricket players who are contemporaries. Whatis wrong in a guy being captain for 2 yrs. and then moving on? Rahul is an exceptional pro and instead of trying to see it in a positive light the media goes to town with a "crumbling wall" and other stories. Just because we are not used to seeing leaders - political, business or in any other field willingly demitting office, does not mean that an exceptional Indian pro should not take different path. For god's sake allow people to do their own thing! Rahul Dravid, take a bow!

when sachin was given cap two times before he had not had power choose his own team as it is today. Then there had been lot of traitors in the team, involved in the betting and made Sachin unsuccessful captain. Even Ganguly betrated him before taking cap from Sachin.
During his tennure as cap his run average did not come down much (within and less than 2) which is significant.
So Sachin is suitable for cap any time. only he needs to get rid of traitors.

Do not try to give lame excuses. If you look at Sachin's own batting record, it was very bad. That is why he opted out of captaincy.
Any Indian captain, is going to suffer this. Sachin's batting will again go down, if he takes up captaincy again. Pls see it for yourselves.
btw, Pawar was very happy that Dravid resigned from captaincy. So that he can crown one more mumbaikar....
