Dravid follows Tendulkar

I believe this is a right decision taken by Rahul. He is no doubt one of the best battesman the world has today. But look at his recent performances, it cannot be called good by any standard. And other than anybody else Dravid himself realises that most! What painful it can be for a great battesman like him to see him getting out cheaply in most of the occassions when his service was urgently required! This was the decision which Sachin took a few years back when he was also failing repeatedly and I heard was taking refuge in Anjali's vacation home at Khandala.Sachin did the right thing for him and that is why we are still observing the batting of Tendulkar.I wish Rahul the same success.
Coming to the next man for captaincy,India has to look for some new face who can take the extra burden and can also play his game.Till they find the right man, Sourav could be the only and ideal choice. It is Sourav only who had made us believe that we can win!It was also injustice done to him when the great Greg Chappel and Kiran More nexus dumped him out of the team. But that had only increased his resolve.I wish Sourav is made the captain again till they find a new face who can lead India in years to come!Thank you Dravid and concentrate on your game.We have not seen the "wall" which we are familiar to see earlier.Good luck to you.And good luck to our new captain!

Ya Sourav Ideal choice to run away seeing grass on pitches like in Nagpur against Australia, ditching entire team. What was that injury he got 10 minutes before the match, aaaah yes, Near Groin Injury, now near the groin is ass, so in hindi the injury is called USKI PHATI.

I AM RESPONSIBLE
by Ashutosh Trivedi on Sep 14, 2007 04:56 PM  | Hide replies

Common! problem with us is that we focus on who is the captain and coach, but what we observe in each game is that, that the team wins only when the TEAM performs, irrespective of who the captain or coach is. The idea is to assume responsibility. As Gita rightly quotes - swadharme nidhanam shreya - do what your role demands, even if yu die in the process. When each of us feels "I AM RESPONSIBLE" it will not matter who the captain is....

yes
there should be 5 different captains - one each for 10 overs in first innings and the luckier one in the first innings is the solo captain in the second.
This is called collective responsibility

ganguly should be appointed as the captain as his performance is outstanding as the captain in the past so the indian cricket board should offer him this post

No captain required.
by srini vasan on Sep 14, 2007 04:52 PM  | Hide replies

Already there is no coach for Indian team.
Captain also not required.
Let everybody play and all the XI go for the toss and say......HEADS.......
(I shame to say INDIAN, no body wants to take responsibility, saying that their personal skills would be a problem. Look at other country, Grame smith, Ponting, Jayawardene.. these people flourished and shine well after they took captaincy....)
