Call Sachin for 20-Twenty
by mahendra sharma on Sep 14, 2007 11:49 AM

BCCI should send sachin for Twenty-20 world cup.
B'cos we want india to win this cup. & Sachin is top scorer in last 3 series.he is the only inform & consistant batsman these days. Do doubt that Sachin is still The Best. that he al ready prooved in last series.no one in indian team near by sachin in last three series.so he shuold be called for Twenty-twenty also. if we want india to win, we need to have sachin in the team.he is the only who can give us victory

Good for ZIM Cricket
by prakash mohanasundaram on Sep 14, 2007 10:48 AM

Definitely Australia underestimated Zim for that matter even ZIM did not expect this themselves. Anyway it is good for ZIM cricket. They were a promising team untill the problems unfolded in their country. Hopefully this win should act as a catalyst for ZIM cricket revival

Indians particularly North and South Indians are good people, but some of them suffer from a superiority complex.

Indians particularly North and South Indians are good people, but some of them suffer from a superiority complex.
Be ready to admit that complacence is a great weakness for a nation.
Admit that East or western people are equally good.
Bengalis are a most powerful race to surge ahead.
They are intelligent, cultured and educated.
If you want to pull them back or abuse them you would not be successful.
Actually the Bengalis and the Punjabis suffered most due to politics of partition etc.
Punjab was divided into Himachal, Pakistan and Haryana. Bengal into East and West.
If these two could remain united we could have found a better India.
Anyway talented sportsmen are there in these places.
Many Bengal and Punjab player were denied the opportunity to play for India. Injustice was done to Saurav, Deep Ranadeb to name a few.
Now yesterday you saw Jhulan bagging the ICC award.
Today Bangladesh beats WINDIES.
Be ready to see the rise of Bangla and Punjab again.
Thank you

Wrong Thread. Article is about AUSTRALIA's embrassment and as far as I know, they don have any Indian in their team, neither south Indian, nor North Indian.

Dont start the crap again abt Northies and Southies. Every new movie release/ Every match/ Every mishap in state or any political issue, I donno why ppl raise this issue?

Cant we just say.. We INDIANS ?? There is lot to critisize on (Including me), at least.. we can be together somewhere. :)

by Rajput on Sep 14, 2007 01:51 AM  | Hide replies

This is 100% true..... BCCI is ruled by these idiot manoosssesss.......so Agarkar is making full use of this , otherwise he is the costliest bowler in the world i think.

Yes it is Bombay Cricket Club of India. Rest of the players who play cricket in India other than Bombay can not represent India just because they do not represent Bombay. Ajit Agarkar , as Geoff Boycott said, is not fit to play even the club cricket or high school cricket too. Read the famous lines from the latest columns "They say cricketers are enigmas for no more than a season or two; Agarkar has shown one can be so through a career"

South Indians are supposed to be the most regionalistic in India. As a mallu I felt the same way too for along time. Now I think that the two most regionalistic states in India are

1. Bengal.
2. Maharashtra

30-40% of India resides in the BIMARU states. They are the least represented in the Indian cricket and other circles. They hardly complain. They may make fun of madrasis, sardars, gujjus, bongs etc but they do have the Indian spirit.

However even if you drop a mediocre Bong riots ensure. Ghatis play politics and keep third rate players like Agarkar a permanent fixture in the team.

Agarkar
by krish on Sep 13, 2007 09:55 PM

Agarkar should have been made the captain. He is the most experienced in team with over 200
one-day intls..he is ideal for SA pitches.
