Gladiator Sachin!!!!
by Notout_Naveen on Sep 11, 2007 06:01 PM

Sachin's batting in this tour reminded me of character "MAXIMUS" in the oscar winner film GLADIATOR.

Sachin fought till the end..without worrying about poor decisions, injury, Pressure which was mounted on him for retirement, high expectations from cricket fans to perform since it could be his last tour,Englands well planned attack and execution againest him,for being a senior cricketer & above all to maintain his own standards.

Bengal Rules
by S Ramanujam on Sep 11, 2007 07:29 AM

I like Bengalis for their talent and determination.
I have a respect for Bengal culture.
It is good to see so many Bengali singers rocking all the musical programmes like Saregamapa and Inidan Idol.
Jhulan Goswami another Bengali girl has become best cricketer judged by the ICC.
It is a pity that the only captain material Saurav is kept out of captaincy.
There is no harm in giving responsibilities to people who deserve it , irrespective of his region, religion or language.
Ranadev Basu should also be given chance while so many non performers are carried along by the present Captain Dravid.

Borde described the tour "as the best I have had the fortune to be part of."

IND drew test series thanks to rain god and lost one-day series..hhiiiii

Idiot Ramu, Did you see the India - England series or just woke up after being in coma.

Change your name to Ravana. India won the test series not drew. Hope you know the meaning of winning and draw

Borde was nothing but an extra piece of baggage in the team. He went there just due to some BCCI politics. I dont agree this as the best series. We were good in test but pretty average or bad in ODI.

It is just like you have an obession about hating cricket. To call Tendlay "so and so" tells us that you do not like achievements.

Rediff is a private company and they can do what they like. If you want them to report what you want to read, then go get the money and buy Rediff. If you can't do that then go the very 'hell' that you referred to.

I don't hate cricket and follow it like any other. But what is special in this news? Tell me. And I don't worship heroes, I worship team efforts, and this team has nothing special to show. They were pretty average in the whole ODI series. No wonder they are languishing at number 6 now.
And if rediff has right to publish anything then so do I.

Forgive me fans.

I am sorry I called Romesh Powar Kala Bhains.

I called Rahul crossbreed and that Kannadigas cannot be relied upon.

I express my heartfelt sympathy and unconditional apology for my remarks like this.
I admit that I have done a great mistake.

Actually I smoked one potful of Marijuana and then finished one full bottle of country liquor.
Under the spell of these intoxicating things I ccommited an offence.
Please forgive me Rahul lovers and Romesh lovers.
Excuse me please.

Why only South. The entire country supports cricketers like Dravid. Let us not bring regionalism here.
