Indian Cricket - inconsistency is thy name.

Does Microsoft really want to endorse it?

Or could it be 'match fixing' in the guise of 'inconsistency'?

I thought the article was more about coducive HR policies of a major American MNC and not about cricket! calling it article on cricket is not understanding the whole article and sense behind it

I am appalled by the comments on this article. While the article may sound as a news item, the Microsoft example is valuable knowledge for Indian companies going global and hiring non-Indian workers. It points out how important it is to understand the cultural background of employees and design non-financial perks around it. Microsoft, in this case, realized the large numbers of Indians working for them and decided to instill a community feeling among those workers. Thus people build personal relationships both inside and outside the company. At the end of the day, a bunch of happy employees can only do good for the company. It will reduce employee turnover and increase productivity.

Not useless,if you are staying here and playing for the league. They have tennis ball tourney too and Microsoft reimburses 100$ per year for the group sports you play. I really find home away from home when I am playing cricket here.
Nothing beats the feeling of hitting a ball from the middle of the bat!
some of us play, while rest comment on Sachin's timings on a pan-joint gathering and still few find a cricketing article useless.

the big money you are talking about is because of the crowd that follows the game.. the sponsors want to reach the crowd and what better way than cricket in India... so if we want them to play well just put a pause to all the hype.. let them win the game and the respect.. cricketers should be treated more like Spartans and less like Politicians/Actors...
