Attitudes never change!!!
by Sudipto Ghosh on Sep 10, 2007 08:12 PM

Its a shame to see everyone still fighting against each other and criticising each other and the players.
I think Dravid is getting better at captaincy with time but he still lacks the 'Out of the Normal' planning and attitude.
To all the people blaming Tendulkar, Ganguly and Dravid, I just have one question - can you tell me a time India won a match when the these seniors failed?? The final one-dayer is a fine example.
Do we have a replacement for them yet? - NO so we need to stop arguing about them.
Again - GROW UP!!

Ganguly.............Better Captain than Dravid
by pradeep das on Sep 10, 2007 02:49 PM  | Hide replies

Indian selectors made the biggest mistake of not making Ganguly Captain of Team India before World Cup...True he was out of team due to poor form. But it was unfair on part of Indian selectors not returning captaincy to him even when he was back in form. We displayed poorest performance in World Cup under Dravid's captainship and for sure had Ganguly been captain of India we should have performed much better in world cup and England One-Day series both...........

Pradeep,

Stop Dreaming.

Ganguly cannot even play fast rising deliveries on bouncy tracks.

He cannot field,
He cannot rotate strike while batting.

Such people are better off retiring honorably, rather than thinking of captaining the team again.

Be realistic not regionalistic!!

You all would have seen his batting in the last one dayer, it was a real shame. So attrocious was his shot making that commentators were finding it tough to describe it.

Ganguly Vs Short pitched deliveries
by radio mirchi on Sep 10, 2007 12:45 PM  | Hide replies

He looks like a joker when faced with short pitched deliveries. He looks like laughing stock at such deliveries. Even after getting 2-3 live he could not capitalise and build a good opening partnership which led to our defeat. Should retire immediately

Ganguly's supporters think that Dada could not play because it was a wrong decision to bat. However, there was not much help to bowlers except that english bowlers were able to extract some bounce. Shastri also felt that it was a good decision since India was playing with two spinners. I am not against Ganguly but it seems that his supporters are fanatic by nature and always try to find fault with Dravid's captaincy or batting. It is a bit sad. I will be surprised if Dravid is removed from Captaincy in the near future especially after a successful english summer. He is an asset to India and we should hope that he continues for at least 2-3 years.

JUST AS YOU A BLIND FAN OF DRAVID AND U DONT SEE THE TRUTH. IF SOURAV AND SACHIN HADNT PLAYED WELL IN THREE ONE-DAYERS (WHERE THEY HAD 100 PLUS PARTNERSHIP), DRAVID AND CO. WOULD NOT HAVE ONE EVEN A SINGLE ODI. Wake up. No one wants to criticise Dravid, he is one of the best Batsmen, but he is worthless as a captain. Unimaginative. His selfishness (during chappel tenure) when he did not back any of the players that Chappel wanted to get rid of, whether it was sourav or Zaheer. Rahul was only interested in satisfy Chappel & More as he wanted Captaincy. Rahul has made the Indian team what it was like when Azhar was the captain, a team of individuals....no longer a team. Even the dumbest of critics of sourav will have to accept that Sourav rightly or wrongly supported his players.....that matters so much. We Indians work better when we know that our superior is gonna support us and wont back stab us like chappel & Co. Even someone like Sourav will no longer be able to control the damage done by Rahul & Greg Chappel....it is beyond repair.

by Mature Stud on Sep 10, 2007 11:56 AM  | Hide replies

Dravid should sometimes come and face the new ball....it is always nice to bat in the comfort zone of no 3 or no 4 when Tendulkar and Ganguly have scored 150 runs in 20 overs...

When they cannot, then Dravid gets out for zero because he "was under pressure" and "had to face the new ball"...lols

Are u really mature? He is the number 3 player in Test matches for so many years now. He is probably the best player of fast bowling in our country. Ganguly shhould open in test matches oif he really thinks that he is such a good player of new ball. It is altogether to face new ball in test matches with no field restrictions. Dravid has played new balls so many times at number 3 position and scored lots of runs for India.

Sanjeev don't waste your energy, these hopeless guys don't know anything in cricket. hopelessly accusing others.

Ganguly scored because of field restrictions otherwise 75% of his runs would have not been scored.

Hope less and peaceless player i ever seen

Sanjeev bhai, I want to say that sometimes the Number 3 player should also take responsibilty of new ball...it cant be that no 3 only fires when no 1 and no 2 has taken the shine away and created a nice platform.

By the way, Dravid is scared to come even at no. 3...he has a new scapegoat now...Gambhir...

Lol...you guys stop being a southie idlis...stupid idiots...

"Mature Stud", I've seen a lot of retards but you top the lot.

"comfort zone of no 3 or no 4"?!!! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Since when did the most critical spot of 3 become a comfort zone? Dravid is one of the few players of genuine pace from India and if you take your head out of your ar$e for just a minute, you'll see he is one of the most consistent too.

His captaincy does leave a bit to be desired but his credentials as a batsman do not need questioning from idiots like you. Next!

I think u r pathetic Dravid baiter. U think winning a overseas test series 1-0 and loosing ODI just by one match is a bad captaincy? Does it require any more stat than this series itself Do u call it pathetic performance? Gro up man. How did Ganguly face the short pitched deliveries How many lives he got. He could not give a good performance even after getting 3-4 lives. Can he ever play against quality fast bowling. Talk talk about just 1 or 2 innings to blame a captain. That is where stat helps. U should judge the performances for many matches and not a few.

Dravid is one of the best players of fast bowling probably the best. He is the No 3 bat in tests where many time he will come when India is 0 for no loss and face the bowling and score centuries. Same is not true with Ganguly. He is pathetic playing fast bowling.
